Final score: Northwestern 78 Bradley 51

We did play horribly, but let's not make more out of it than we should. NU shot out of their minds. Everything they threw at the basket was going in, and it was just the opposite for us. It was extremely disappointing and we looked like a deer caught in headlights for most the game, but like Dub said below, let's see how we bounce back before we throw them to the wolves. Everyone can have a bad game, and that was certainly what that was!

Absolutely shocked and bewildered when I saw the score this morning.
I was hoping at worst we'd lose by 5...by 5!!!

Are you kidding me??

We certainly are shooting like crap to start the season. We had all off season....doesn't make sense.
Northwestern is bottom feeder B-10...they will NOT be good.

Very sad result.

I agree with this. Northwestern came into the game shooting 22% from three and shot ~50% on mostly contested shots. You can’t gameplan for a team doing something completely different than what they have been doing all year.

The flaw in our team that was exposed was our offense and general lack of size inside. We haven’t been a team that makes its first shot so far this year. But we’ve succeeded anyways because we could rebound all those misses. You can’t be number 5 in offensive rebounding without the missed shot opportunities. Childs and especially Henry have to work a lot harder against teams with size and most of Northwestern’s bigs were athletic enough to stay with them so they couldn’t just blow by them. Basketball is frequently a game of matchups, especially at the college level, and this was a bad one for us at this time of the year.

Have to take it as an opportunity to learn and grow.
