Final: WSU 79 - BU 63

Good guards will get you in the 4-5 game but good bigs will get you playing for Championships. We already know other Valley teams are using how we use our bigs in recruiting against us. How do we get that concept changed? We some how need to do a better job of recruiting bigs who are ready to play like WSU or a better job of developing what we have when they get here.

I think the development of our big men will improve with Platt working with them. I know we've been waiting for WE to play consistently well - maybe with Platt's help, we will see that before the season ends. Just my gut feeling.
JP has been pretty good IMO for a freshman.
If TB were able to play, we probably wouldn't be discussing this. However, even with a healthy TB, we fall short of WSU's strength and depth inside, as does every other MVC team, though Missouri State's inside game is better than what most people think.

Thanks to Peoria residents

My wife and I appreciate the fine treatment we received while in Peoria last weekend. The customer at Red Lobster (who happened to have graduated from WSU); the saleslady at Macy's; a number of fans at the game and the gentleman at Granite City after the game who gave us his stat sheet from the game.

We have made the trip to Peoria the last 2 years and have been very pleased with our reception both years.

We truly hope Sam Maniscalco and Taylor Brown are both able to make it all the way back next year.
