Finishing Five...

I could not care any less who starts and I do not know why people are so obsessed with starting lineups. What I care about is who FINISHES the game. There is a correct answer to this, so take a guess and state your reason.

Theoretically, your starting five would be your finishing five. If you can figure out who isn't in foul trouble, who's had a good or bad game and if BU is in front or behind, then you can figure out who will finish the game. There are so many factors during a game that impact who is going to be playing at crunch time.

Would you have someone like Zach Andrews in the game with a 2 point lead with the ball and 10 seconds left? Probably not. However, if BU is down two with the ball and 10 seconds, he probably would be in there (unless he already had five fouls).

The reason I care is its off season and I am bored, I want to talk about BU basketball no matter if its important or not. But since you took the time to straighten me out and its about Bradley basketball, here you go.

Ruff
Crouch
Cole-Scott
Austin
Wilson

Cole-Scott will end games just like Franklin did because of his ability to slash or pull up and hit the J. He will also become a steady force in crunch time just like Franklin.

Austin because he is a man and you need boards in crunch time. He can post up or hit the mid range J.

Wilson due to the fact he has the experience needed during crunch time along with his ability to get to the rim.

If I need to explain Ruff and JC then your lost..........

Story of my life!!!!!

Mine too... You gave some good ideas and valid reasons, but the correct answer is much more simple. Just think abut it a little longer... :)

i completely agree. i don't think there is any way you can have a permanent finishing five. there's just too many factors in each game that make the necessary players different.

of course you want your best players, for the most part, on the floor. other than that, fouls, free throw percentage, who's hot, who's not, speed, defense, threes, etc. are all important to think about in the players you put out at the end of a game.

Lavin, Phillips, and whoever isn't performing in practice because it's garbage time and we're winning by a million?

Or is it the guys who rip up the floor at the Civic Center and zamboni the ice?

I want the central illinois all-stars of Lavin, Phillips, and Thornton finishing up with Maniscalco and Egolf.

And of course the reason would be because we are up by 20.

So what does Iheart win?

Personal pride and satisfaction knowing that he beat me at my game! Earthly prizes are a fleeting thing, but the winning feeling lasts forever. BS, right? Yep! I will buy him a beer or two at one of the upcoming events if we can ever figure out who each other is? :?

Should I give the Kool-Aid man pigtails? Would that be simplier? I would think my incessant comments about how dirty hot JC is would get the point across ... and I'll accept that beer, g.

Oh, of course I was using "him" generically... Well, if we can ever figure out who each other is then I will payoff! Hope to see you sometime. We may already know each other and don't know it! :)
