Free throw defense

Actually #16 after last night.

But...

#1 Syracuse is only 285th in FT%.
#2 Kansas is 106th.
#3 Kansas State is only 247th.
#4 Duke is 2nd.
#5 Georgetown is 88th.

#347 Alabama A&M is 337th.
#346 Houston Baptist is 111th.
#345 Maryland Baltimore County is 164th.
#344 North Carolina Central is 145th.
#343 Utah Valley is 120th.

So yes the top 5 RPI teams overall do shoot FT's better than the bottom 5, but it is far from a given that the top teams shoot them well while the bottom teams do not. Syracuse and Kansas State are great examples. 4 of the bottom 5 teams shoot FT's better than the D-1 median (174th).

I would like to see who we have a tendency of fouling. Guards are better FT shooters then bigs, so I'm betting that we are letting guards get into the paint more then most teams. I'm also betting with the emergence of our D teams will not shoot as well because they will be a bit more tired.
