Game #4 Arch Madness quarterfinals

Missouri State vs ISU Blue. It has an emotion packed crazy day so far. Drake stuns UNI by 22. BU baby outguts and outlasts SIU by 5 and somehow someway Valpo comes back from a 14 point halftime deficit along with being down 18 with 15 1/2 minutes to go and beats Loyola by 1 in OT. Game #4 has a lot to live up to and crazy thing is I think this one could be the best if the bunch as the Sycamores have won their last 4 and the Bears are also playing their best ball if the season. I would favor the Bears if the refs call it like they have so far during Arch Madness

6:56 left and MSU leads 19-17. Bears have been called for 7 fouls while the Sycamores have just 2.

The Bears pulled away in the last 4:00 as they lead 34-24 at the half. Gaige Prim and Lamont West lead MSU with 10 points while 3 guys have 5 points for the Sycamores. MSU is 15-30, 2-10 from 3 and ISU is 9-29, 3-12 from 3.

The Bears are playing like a team who wants to win their first Arch Madness/Mo Valley Conference championship since 1992 as they lead ISU 41-26 with 18:03 left.

Things have kind of stabilized in the last few minutes as the Bears are leading 53-42 with 9:33 left

With 2:50 remaining and being 24 points down. It looks like #3 seeded Indiana State will be the third "upset" today. Absolutely crazy. We are the best seed to make it out of the first game.

I predict a Bradley vs Missouri State championship game.

Final score- Missouri State 78 Indiana State 51

The only blowout of any of the MVC Tournament games, so far. MSU was lead by their trio of big guys (Gaige Prim 17, Lamont West 14, Tulio Da Silva 14) and their All MVC guard Keandre Cook (13). MSU shot 50% for the game compared to 33.9% for INSU, and MSU outrebounded INSU 45-26.
The obvious advantage of a blowout is that Missouri State's players got a lot of rest. No player played more than 27 minutes in the game.

#6 seed MSU will play #7 seed Valparaiso, who upset #2 seed Loyola Friday.

Just getting caught up here getting back from St. Louis. Indiana State just looked bad. Not sure what happened, but Missouri State took advantage. There probably should have been a few tech's called on Missouri State for taunting, but probably wouldn't have helped Indiana State much. I wonder if the refs had a talking to after this game regarding the taunting that led to the Childs and Penn tech's on Saturday.
