I didn't think .523 was too good until I saw isu's non-conference opponents' winning percentage....

22 - 44 (.333)

OUCH....looks like isu's "biggest win" this year is losing BIG with 11:25 left in the game.....

36 - St. Bonaventure
78 - Mississippi State

Also, Mississippi State, the only undefeated team with a worse RPI than ISU (they were actually 5-0, but just 2-0 against low D1 teams along with 3 wins over NAIA teams) lost today at Mississippi. So now ISU is the worst RPI team that is still undefeated.

BTW- Gary Flowers, who was the #1 ranked juco player in the country last year and who is now at So. Miss is putting up some big numbers for Larry Eustachy. He is averaging around 15 ppg. Most D1 schools shied away from the kid because of his history which included a drug arrest, and other legal issues that got him dismissed from Oklahoma State as a freshman.

Yeah.....couldn't see that coming.

BTW, it's final....

Mississippi State beats St. Bonaventure 105-53. The Bonnies must be for real!

Fun score of the day:

Syracuse 60, Maine 12 Half

SIUE beats Texas-Arlington, and from what I can tell, wins that 4-team tournament at Drake. Trophy!

The IL State vs Central Michigan game is on Peoria Comcast channel 44 & 74 if anyone wishes to watch. Right now, IL State is struggling to keep a lead against Central MI with 9 minutes left in the 1st half. #6 Purdue beat them by 26 points 2 games ago.

Oh, and the whole lower bowl looks to only be half filled, with a few stragglers in the upper bowl LOL. I'd say maybe 3,000 at the most, pretty bad.

Some other interesting Valley scores....

-Wichita State beating S. Carolina upstate 17-4 with 11 minutes to go in 1st half.

-SLU beating SIU 12-4 with 11 minutes to go in 1st half.

Watching the ISU game and OE hits a step back three as time expires in the first half. Reminds me of what a good shooter he can be, I just had to shake my head and laugh. Central Michigan hanging in it though.

Apparently that three also was the one that broke the record, not a bad shot lol

Not really. Just another disappointing game for the Illini. This should cause another meltdown among their fans. :)

Seriously? Nahhh.... C'mon. I expect another 'drive-by hit piece' from some tool in the 'drive-by media' explaining how UIUC just sorta let this one hang around.

slu 63 siu 52
2:00 left in the game

I'm not watching or listening to the game. It looks as if the game is almost decided - but I never rule anything out... it isn't over til it's over.

But my question is... - is SIU STILL painful to watch?

The last few years I'd rather dig my eyes out with a rusty knife and then get tied to a pole and beaten with a stick than watch SIU basketball.

SLU up by 8 with 0:07 left

Bocot with a hard foul on SLU player in for a breakaway slam.
Kwamaine Mitchell down with a knee injury.. eventually walked off the court.
