A big night for the Valley!

TWO undefeated Top 25 teams playing in MVC arenas and another undefeated BCS team going to Northern Iowa. Time to make a statement as a conference tonight!

I'm going to venture to say that SIU is the only win for the Valley tonight in the MWC - MVC challenge. And that's even a stretch!

CU and ISU (red) are not even close to being ready to play well vs. good teams.
Hopefully UNI will pull out a win vs. Iowa St. and MSU wins too.

I assume you are hoping for a POSITIVE statement as a conference tonight!

That would be nice, but the Valley has some tough matchups tonight. As a conference, the teams need to win these games and even better if it happens on the same night.

Creighton is usually very tough at home. but tonight against BYU they are struggling. CU is trailing 34-28 at halftime, and they are shooting 32% from the floor, but only 1-11 from three. Preseason MVC POY Kenny Lawson has 2 points (1-4) and 0 rebounds at the half.

Illinois State is now trailing 54-30 with about 14 minutes left in the game. jackie Carmichael, who had only 1 rebound in their last game, just got his first rebound of the game. ISU is now 1-16 from three after a miss by John Wilkins.

Didn't someone say isu's attendance is fairly even with BU's? I believe we would have more than 6400 show up for a Top 25 opponent. They even have 3000 student season ticket holders. I know.......this is one of those instances where many don't care about other teams, but that's just sad.

Meanwhile, we're about to go 0-for-everyone in the MWC/MVC challenge.

At least the MWC is a conference better suited to use this to their advantage.

Nice win for UNI giving Iowa St. their first loss of the year. Also kudos to Wichita St. and MSU for taking care of business. The rest.....forget it!

Three home teams losing to MWC teams (albeit all excellent teams) by a combined 58 points!

Not good!

Statement made! The Valley is terrible this year.

This really makes me mad because a full-strength Bradley should absolutely be the favorite for 2nd right now.

I don't mean to call out certain teams and be rude, but Creighton, you are disappoint.

Doug McDermott is leading the Jays thus far it seems and it makes me wonder what kind of year Altman would have had had he stayed because I just do not see a ton of talent there. I know the Greg E. will be a big addition for them and will give them a big time post presence, but I am shocked at how much Creighton has struggled. But then, Greg had talent at ISu and never got it to do a whole lot either. Maybe these Creighton kids are not made for grind it out basketball.
