Many will recall George Barber - he was an assistant under Rick Pitino at Kentucky when they won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP in 1996....
then he became an assistant at BRADLEY UNIVERSITY under Jim Molinari ..
he is currently head coach at Greenville College...

If so inclined - please pray for Dr. Barber & his family as his young daughter is in the hospital with an extremely severe medical condition that is life-threatening...


BTW - Here's an interesting connection between Dr. George Barber and our current Bradley team...
One of our players, Jake Eastman, has a father who is an assistant coach for the Boston Celtics...
and Dr. George Barber's friend & former assistant at Greenville, Jamie Young, is ALSAO a Boston Celtics assistant - and George helped him get the job!!!!

Will do.....My son-in-law played for George at Greenville and my daughter worked his camps even after graduating. My daughter says George's daughter has been in and out of the hospital with this condition....
 
I just heard she has currently been admitted to OSF in Peoria and is anticipating major surgery - perhaps even an organ transplant

George and his family will be in my prayers. I spent two summers with George watching camp games. I hired all the officials for Mo's summer team camps and we had some great talks about official, coach relationships.Hope all goes well for George and his family. Your in my prayers.
 
Just heard from Dr. George Barber - the head coach at Greenville - and his daughter is still battling a very rare and debilitating disease...but so far, so good...
If interested in hearing more or want to get involved in support for George & his family, as many of his friends here in the Peoria area are, lmk..

Dr. Barber's daughter Mary Ashley is now 3 years into extremely difficult treatment for a rare, continuously life threatening condition and now she's gonna have to have a kidney transplant. She has an extremely rare & serious vascular condition that has resulted in a stroke, kidney failure, and frequent dialysis...
