Define what that means.

To me, I see "anti-Jim Les" as wanting him to fail. Hoping Bradley loses. Wanting to see him do poorly. Or, possibly, disliking him personally.

I do not see "anti-Jim Les" as being ok with a change at the head coach position of the men's basketball coach at Bradley University. Or, saying they don't think he has done an adequate job as head coach of the men's basketball program at Bradley University.

I do not see people that HOPE he loses, HOPE he fails, or dislike him personally. I do see people that would be ok with a new basketball coach and have been frustrated with Jim's results as head coach.

The two are not the same. I don't know of any Bradley fan who HOPES he loses games.
 
then the definition we need to agree on is what is meant by "Bradley fan"...because I know people who claim to be Bradley fans who do believe what you claim they do not.
But -- I would agree they are counterfeit fans and not really fans....

Unfortunately I do think T is right and there are a substantial number of people who like to see JL have a bad season so they can get someone they like in here, and even worse, have wished this since he was hired.

To me, anyone who says he must win the conference title and make the NCAA, or anyone who says that if there are any injuries, they cannot be used as a reason for not winning said title, or anyone who intentionally sets the minimum expectations so high that success is possible, but not probable, I would not consider those people supporters of the coach.

Fair enough tornado. I personally don't know any of the people who say one thing yet believe another. All the people I know want to see Bradley succeed. They may or may not fall into the second group I mentioned, but none of them WANT or HOPE for Bradley losses or failures (i.e. the definition of "anti" Jim Les or "anti" Bradley)

Maybe you should get some new Bradley friends if some of yours are counterfeit :)

Honestly...why don't you come up with the definition of "Bradley fan" and let people say whether they fall into that or not. Isn't that the best way of doing it?

Who are these people? If they are on the message board go ahead and name them. Let them defend themselves. If not and they are just "people" out and about I don't see how they are relevant to the community here.

Agree 100% again. I don't know anyone who wants Jim or BU to fail. Every BU fan I have ever talked to just wants to WIN. They may disagree about how to go about that, but they ALL want to WIN.

I also do not have any counterfeit BU friends either.
 
they don't like being called out - and rebel vigorously to any description of their posts as "negative"...
it only starts arguments and I recommend we not do it...
One can easily go to certain other forums where Bradley bashing is prolific and some of them use their same screen names --
 
This thread is about to get closed unless there are further opinions about the topic itself, instead of posters trying to turn it into the ubiquitous argument that most threads turn into about who gets to be the better fan.

Great post and well said.....I am glad I also don't know a SINGLE fan that wants JL to lose games.

If the desired results aren't achieved this season, then I have no problem with a change at the head coach. However, I certainly don't consider myself to be anti-JL either. Not quite sure why that's not possible.

It is possible. That was my point. You can be OK with and somewhat advocate a change and still not be anti-JL and anti-Bradley. It's not personal.

I understand what you are saying..after this season if its a bust..your good with a change...if they succeed...I would assume that your good with him staying...

but the above post that has me confused...if you want him removed...your anti JL...its that simple isn't it?
