Why not? The two have been winners at every level, and both seem to not only be tremendous basketball players, but good, humble people as well. I'd love it if the Bulls made a play for Oden and Conley. I'm not overly thrilled with Kirk Hinrich, and Chris Duhon has shown up late one too many times for Skiles & Co.

BB, i'm with you... all i hear about is how great Hinrich is, but i've observed him being really inconsistent. Im not terribly impressed.

ehh, I think Hinrich is a great point guard, not the best obviously, but like all the Bulls except Big Ben he lacks postseason experience that could make him better. I think Hinrich will be better next year. Now if the Bulls could get Oden that would be huge!

Conley is another 6' gaurd. If the Bulls draft a gaurd, I would want it to be a bigger guy, like Brewer.

However, Conley may be the quickest BB player on the continent right now---pro or amateur. 6 foot size will not matter.

I'm with you on this one Fetz. The Bulls guards are small, no matter how quick they are. A lack of height IMO was a huge factor in the playoffs against Detroit, where the Bulls guards did not match up well with Billups or Hamilton. 6-4 Hinrich on Billups, isn't too bad a disadvantage, but that put the shorter Gordon on 6-7 Hamilton. Conely wouldn't help in that area at all.

True, but size can be neutralized by quickness. Michael Jordan had his toughest times with guys like Kevin Johnson and Allen Iverson. Isaiah Thomas was barely 6'1". I don't think size would be an issue with Mike Conley, and I would love to have him and Oden together in Bulls uniforms.

I believe they have the Knicks first round pick from trading Curry to them, but I could be wrong.

A 12 year age difference probably had an impact on Jordans troubles with Iverson, but AI gives pretty much everyone trouble. I wouldn't put Conely in AI's class yet, but I could very well be wrong. What I was getting at is that big guards win championships in the NBA. MJ, Pippen, and Harper were all 6'6'' or taller. The Spurs have had a short point guards in Parker and Avery Johnson, but put them with Bowen, Ginobili, or Stephen Jackson, who are all big. LA had Harper, a big guard, or Fisher, but Kobe is 6'7''. Detroit has mid sized Billups and 6'7'' Hamilton. The Heat had Williams or Payton as a shorter point but Wade balanced that out. A backcourt of 6'1'' Conely and either Hinrich or Gordon is IMO too small to win any rings. Im sure that every NBA fan wants Oden on their team. In terms of the Bulls pick, I would be happy with Hawes. Not that he is as highly rated as Oden, but the Bulls are much more likely to have the 9th pick than the 1st.

Yes, because of the Eddie Curry trade, the Bulls got the Knicks pick last year (Tyrus Thomas), and the right to switch picks this year. This year's Knicks pick is a lottery pick, so it's possible it could move up to the top, but the odds are small.
