HAPPY BIRTHDAY Marcellus Sommerville!

Interesting point as last I checked he has only played in half the games they have played. Only averaging about 4 pts. a game. Maybe he will transfer somewhere else. Hopefully Bradley will be one place he considers if he does transfer. If reports are correct, when he transferred from Rutgers to Washington St. his NIL deal was reported to be 1.6 million. If true would be hard for Bradley to come close to that offer.

It is the University of Washington and would not pay that kind of money.

That is a big chink of money. These are unspecified figures. But based upon some sites I have seen it says they may have paid high six figures and maybe seven figures to secure his services. NIL terms are not publicly posted, but heresay and speculation says this may be the case.

I can confirm it was 7 figures +. Washington is in the Big Ten now, and they have virtually unlimited NIL money

Some of their biggest donors are billionaires like Bill Foley and Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.-
Washington's starting center is a 6th-year senior, though you never know if the NCAA might award another year. Lathan is the only other center on the current roster (averages 13 minutes per game). With the transfer portal and NIL money they can offer, there is no guarantee Lathan will be a starter next year. But if he stayed at Washington, he'd earn more NIL money per game than he's earn at Bradley for an entire season.

Lathan played more at Rutgers then he has at Washington. I give him credit as he is getting to see all of the country and getting paid to do it

Thank you for the clarification. Thought I read somewhere that it was close to that amount. With Washington able to pay him versus what Bradley can offer, them am sure there is no way he might consider transferring.

Latham Sommerville started and played 25 minutes in tonight's 79-72 win at Rutgers. He only had 8 points and 1 rebound. Their usual starting center did not play due to an injury.
