Can't agree with the first statement.

It IS a crappy conference, but I'll never refer to a win as a loss! Sorry, I'll leave that for others to do.

I'll go out on a limb here and say the BB is saying that the fact we are good enough to beat the top 2 teams in the conference...but are only 2 games over .500....is a bit frustrating. What would we be talking about if we didn't lose all those games at home, when we had double digit leads?
I'll say this...I thought we would lose this game by 12. Kept telling JD all game long that we would fold. I am the first to say that any D1 team is going to make a run. But, this game frustrated me until the end. At the end of the night we made the 1 play that we needed to win the game! As usual, see a lot of potential, but also see so many frustrating plays and decisions! Glad that there is not a truly dominating team in the valley and we have a chance next weekend!

A "crappy conference" does not win the Valley MWC shootout, nor do they go 7-3 in The Bracket Buster.

This is a top tier Mid major conference with alot of parity. Get ready for next year because it is not going to change a whole lot in regards to parity, except UNI will not be at the top.

Why will we not win these games in St. Louis? I'm certainly willing to take my chances there since we play so terribly at home.
OK......I'll start referring to it as a "one-bid" conference. Same difference.
Can't wait to see how many teams the far inferior MWC gets into the only tournament that matters.
Also, the top two teams in the MWC went 8-0 against the bottom two teams, which are both pretty much on par with the mighty Aces.

Here is the thing that is sad or awful or something....
The guy behind us is Mr. Negative. Every play of the game he screams about the stupid play or bad coaching, etc....
Close to the end of the game he says, "Who can believe that a team can blow a lead like this and play no defense." It's quiet for like 10 seconds, and then he says....
"I guess Bradley fans believe it."
Its scary because its partially true. I was not one bit surprised that we lost the 19 point lead. I have seen it so many times its common now.
That all said, BU won. We have to be happy we got that much.
And that sir is only because of the mentality towards Mid Majors.
If a BCS team was in our position they would be in!

I will agree with the win part. Not great, but a win.

Why would the Mountain West get more than one team in if we are so much better? Please help me understand how going 7-3 in 10 "matchups" means we're a better conference than them? I believe the proof will be at the end of the season.

I'm definitely not calling it a loss. Big believer in a win is a win but it's hard to do so many times in one season. WSU (2nd or not) is not an overly talented basketball team where they should beat us at home...and they almost did if weren't for a fluke play. Tired of it. My point is this: when we will start playing to our potential? That's what I'm mad about. Same bad book different chapter.

Guys it's okay, I'll take the blame for losing the lead. I got stuck at work and didn't get to the game until there was 3 minutes left in the first half and we had a good lead at the time. Then things just started to seem downhill for a while. It even got to the point where my friend told me she was going to escort me from the stadium if the Braves got down by 4 :lol: Fortunately that never happened.
Enjoy the W. I know it is frustrating to see us blow a lead, but Wichita hit some great shots during that 2nd half so today I didn't see it so much as us blowing the lead as I did them cutting into the lead. In other games this season I didn't think that was the case, but tonight just felt a little different.

No.....you're right, the Valley is a much better conference than the MWC as evidenced by the 7-3 run. I just can't understand how the MWC get so much more respect (and teams) into the tournament than us.
Excuse me? Legitimate opinions regarding blowing a 15 point lead and escaping by our teeth at home will be yanked? If so, pathetic. Bad words of the explicit kind I can understand. Censoring legitimate criticism? You disgust me.

Because their top teams are better than our top teams. New Mexico and BYU are both better than anyone in the MVC. UNLV/San Diego State are both on the bubble, and there's a good chance one of those won't get in. UNI is in from our conference. WSU/ISU are not better than UNLV/SDSU this season. The MWC is top-heavy...the MVC teams 2-9 are all pretty equal and all are better than teams 5 and below in the MWC.
