High expectations

As fans I can understand being disappointed about the last two games. The success we have had the past few years has as fans expecting to win more than we lose. As a program that should be the norm. It is a long season and should expect to contend or win the conference. But first the team must reestablish our defensive identity. Starts with the coaches making sure this happens. Looking forward to start another win streak starting next game.

Good point. I’m not going to pretend to be the most knowledgeable when it comes to the game, but the change in our defense has been huge. I recall the first few seasons after Coach Wardle was hired. We weren’t that good and weren’t winning as many games as we do now. But I recall how games would be when we would hold every opponent to 15-20 points below their average. I think getting our defense back to playing like that will be the key to our success.

Everybody as far as fans, coaching staff and the players should have high expectations. We have won a lot of games over the last several seasons including the reg. season championship, 2 MVC Tour. championships plus in season tour. titles. The best teams are the ones that expect to win. We have time to turn this around, just need to get back to playing much better defense, better rebounding and passing the ball better on offense so we get better shots. I have confidence they are capable of winning a lot of games.
