Hotel assignment for MVC Tournament in St. Louis

I regularly get the Millenium for dirt cheap. Usually <$80 a night through priceline. A bit of a walk, but for that price I'll take it.

Agreed...in fact the Mrs. already booked our group for this years tournament thru some set your price/bid website and got our 3 rooms for 68.50 per night or Fri & Sat. Decent location & accomodations at a very reasonable price;)

Just got the millenium on hotwire for 49 bucks a night. I'd sleep in the amtrak station for that. They apparently just finished new room upgrades as well. Jump on it while you can. at the end of the day, how much time are you really at the hotel anyway? And with mardi gras at the same time as the tourney, I doubt you'll be able to count on two hands the total hours I'll be at the hotel. This will also be the first Friday at the tournament that I can ever rememnber being able to eat meat since it wont be lent until the next week. So let's recap, relatively close to Jbucks, closer to soulard foir mardi gras, and oh yeah...49 bucks a night...done and done.

I got the same deal on Hotwire. It's a decent hotel and an absolute steal at $49. I think that you have to pay for parking there. Soulard is walkable from there, but you don't want to do it in bad weather.

You do have to pay for parking.

A tip: the parking in the front circle (a la super-convenient) is the same price as the parking in the garage, and they'll keep the same spot for you for your entire stay.

I just realized the Renaissance is a Mariott hotel, and Mardi Gras is the same weekend!!! Great news!

I'm a Marriott rewards member through work and might be able to snag some free rooms. Are any other of the other hotels in the area Marriott-owned? I'd love to be near Soulard for Mardi Gras and am willing to walk to the stadium if I have to (rather be close to a bed when I'm sloppy than when I'm fresh :))

Any suggestions??

I just got the Millenium for $35 on priceline since I knew what the hotwire price was. Before this tournament got popular, you could get a decent room for $20/night downtown. It became a little pricier if there was a big convention in town.

One of the few good things about the Millenium is how close it is to White Castle late at night.
