How do i add a photo to my messages ?

Do you mean a picture next to your name (called an avatar)?
If so -
Along top, click "Quick Links", then select "User Control Panel".... then when page comes up, along left side under the heading of Settings and Options select "Edit Avatar".

to add a picture to the text of your post...here's the easiest way...
--right click right on the picture that you choose anywhere on the internet
--then select the option "Properties"
--then copy the "url" or the precise internet address of the image starting with "http://"
--then paste that internet address in your post and put the following in front and behind it...
"" goes in front
and
"" goes behind it (without the quote marks)
give it a try and then also click on "Preview Post" before posting it so you can see that it worked OK.
If you still can't do it..there's another way as well....

There are easier ways to insert a picture into your posts.
When you click to reply or start a new thread, most of you will see several icons across the top of the text box called a toolbar. The 5th from the right (a square icon) is the tool for inserting a picture. Just locate your cursor, then click the icon, and enter the url (web address) of the picture.
If you do not see a toolbar across the top of the text box, you can reset your preferences to add the toolbar. Go to your Control Panel (click User CP in the top black banner), and click Edit Options in the left column. Then scroll down to the bottom of that page to reset your Message Editor Interface.
We can also reset this for anyone who wants us to.
