Huge Victory for BU tonight!!

I was very impressed with SM defense tonight, thought he did a great job was a silent leader tonight.

Only gave up 65 on the road + OT!!

don't understand having Salley in toward end of regulation. He is a 50% free throw shooter at best. The missed free throws almost cost us the game. I know he is in for defense but those missed ft make them into terrible turnovers. If I was WSU I would have fouled him everytime he touched the ball, they would have won.

3) Warren had a great game tonight and we need more of that from him BUT if I were him I would be embarressed to be subed out at the end of games on D in favor of a 6'0 tall freshman. I know Sam hustles and plays hard but come on! Warren needs to step it up on both ends of the floor consitantly for us to go from good to great

Why is this board so split on SamM? He is having a great freshman campaign, as was expected by many and seriously guys. He played great competition(Demitri McCamey, Evan Turner, etc.) and triumphed over them in high school, most people say we were lucky his dad went here, he plays great and still people doubt him. I just don't get it.

Past that I agree, solid win. Our fans need to have a little more faith, in the chat many were in meltdown mode, but good gutsy win with our mvp hurt and tough team on the road.

Agree that AW needs to step up his D a notch to get from good to great. JL's job is to get the BEST defensive player on the floor on that given situation. Sam is the better defender.

I agree with everything Lakeview said. AW needs to feed off this game in order for us to be where we want to be. Hey amp people are not doubting SM's ability but he is only a Freshman. If more of our players played with TW's and SM's heart we'd be top 10. Let's just say we believe he isplaying great but AW should be there on D.

I think Sam is great and should have been in the game late my post said " If I were Warren I would be embaressed" From Warren's perspective he is a 6'5 Sophomore who is a good athlete and is having one of the best games of the season and he gets taken out because the coach trusts a 6'0 freshman more on D. I think the coach made the right choice but Warren should be thinking about that next time the team does defensive drills in practice.

OK Sam is much better on D than I ever thought he would be at this point and that is huge. However, he makes me very nervous handling the ball on the point. He is only a freshman but he throws the ball away way too much and he gets up in the air without knowing where in creation he is going to throw it. He'll be fine given more time but geez if we give him the point next year it is going to be a MASSIVE move down from Ruff. We are going to fall off in any case but he just makes me nervous at the point.

I like his hustle, I like his defense, and he is only at the beginning of his freshman year but...

I see both sides. I am very impressed wit SM's defense, but it was Warren's best game yet. I do think however the coach made the right coach in that instance. I dont think if TW wasn't hurt that he wouldnt have been in there.

With that being said, dont you think giving him a little experience and big time minutes is a good idea for the future?

its never to early to look that way.

We cant just throw him in there next year and expect to do much without experience under his belt.

This was a tremendous win for Bradley on the road. The Braves did not play what you would call a super-efficient game, and yet they came out of the game on the W side of the ledger.

Give credit to both the coaches and players for gutting out a tough game. Daniel Ruffin was not at full strength. Jeremy was off a bit on his shot. Yet both players made huge plays in the guts. JC hits the freebies, and Ruffin comes through with a big 3 and some great assists in OT.

Andrew Warren leads the way with 23 points, including 5 of BU's three pointers. Theron Wilson added 9 boards and 14 points.

I hope BU can continue the balanced play on the road at Butler next week.

AW scores 23 and puts the team on his back and has to listen to this...

Do you think he is reading this? Or am I wrong in saying this is a semi-anonomys message board for obsessed fans?

My point about Warren is that he did put us on his back and he did score 23 points and STILL the coach subbed him out late in the game. He needs to be in the game late and had to sit because of something completely in his control, playing tough hard D. If I were him I would be very happy with the outcome and my performance but work my ************ off to make sure I am never subbed out late again becasue of D.

Yeah-I think we do need to give him minutes. I think he'll be good. I just wish I saw another PG for next year other than Sam or Eddren. I think DR is under appreciated we would not be very good without him and he fought through an injury tonight. Great win and good progress. Now we need to get one in Indy.

Huh? Who's split on Sam? I think EVERYONE thinks he's a great freshman contributor. He doesn't have the size or athleticism that Warren does, so it's surprising that Sam gets the call defensively in crunch time. I'm not sure how that's a slam on Sam.

Warren needs to play like this every night. He saved us in the 1st half, and didn't shut it down when he missed some shots late. Jim challenged him publicly after Michigan St, and Warren responded big time.

I had to miss the 2nd half.

The box score and play by play show sam singh with one made free throw out of one attempt with zero made field goals. Can anyone explain what happened here?

Thanks

TW was fouled while making a put-back dunk:-o....he came down and hurt his leg (just a bad cramp according to JL) TW was unable to shoot the freebie so Sam S. stepped in off the bench to knock it down.
