......leave a game early....tonite is EXACTLY why. Saw several people get up and walk out around the 10 minute mark.

Hope you had a nice ride home.......:)
 
I looked but I didn't really see anyone leave. I feel bad for those who did though, they must be kicking themselves big time, serves them right!
 
Dare I say the thought entered my mind at the nine minute mark. I still had half a beer (at Civic Center prices only one per half) and by the time I finished at the 7:00 minute mark all thoughts of leaving early were a distant memory.
 
That really surprises me. I didn't notice anyone leaving around the 10 minute mark, but come on. It should be common knowledge to even the casual Bradley basketball fan that this is what the Braves do. It has been a trend all season, and I frequently remark how every once in a while I'd like a game where I don't have a heart attack. There have been plenty of games where we've been down by double digits at half or even with 10 minutes left only to come back to keep me on the edge of my seat for the final 3 minutes (win or lose). Might I add a recent example in the loss to Creighton in the MVC tournament just to mention a significant one. Bottom line, you don't leave when the other team has a lead of a "measly" 15 points.:rolleyes: You should know (by now) that our Bradley Braves are going to battle through it. It's just what they do. Go down, go stagnate, then Go BIG!! haha I enjoy the heart attacks though.:D

I doubt you "enjoy" the heart attacks, however living through it, gives the fans and the team a new lease on life, however tenative that may be. Living to play another day when the calander is inching towards April feels good.

There were a couple guys in our section that turned and told some people around them "see you next season" at around the 9-minute mark. I guess that means they won't be back for the CBI Championship if we beat Virginia. I can't stand fairweather fans!

Some people sitting around us went out about that time to get a drink and said people were leaving. Poor smucks but we really didn't miss their yelling-OH YA they were the ones sitting down and not yelling anyway. What a croud last night-so much fun-better then the regular season when everyone is just sitting on their butts instead of on their feet yelling for their team.
 
I can't say that I considered leaving early for this game. I was frustrated and had started to give up hope. However, I knew BU had a run in them (I didn't expect a 17-3 run in 3 minutes or so). I'm not sure why I would watch an hour and forty five minutes of basketball and then not stick around to see the last fifteen. It doesn't make sense to me. It's not like there is traffic to contend with.

If nothing else, I would think people would want to stick around out of respect to our Seniors that would be ending their Bradley careers on our home floor! I simply cannot understand why anyone would leave early in what they believe is the final home game of the season.
