Illinois St vs. Indiana St

ISU red is down 28-16 to ISU blue with 3 minutes left in the first half. This could make things a lot easier in a possible Bradley/ISU blue final.

As you post that, Il St. is storming back...I'm not sure who I want to win cause I want revenge but think we match up better with In. St. Of course In St. can sling 3s though, so I'm not sure. I'll just enjoy the game.

Wow! That didn't take too long for Il St. to come back. I guess each team would present a challange to Bradley, but I still prefer the Sycamores as they are a younger and not nearly as talented team. They also have injury issues. But sometimes these teams are the most dangerous as they have all the momentum.

Hmmm, I want to say we lost to them in the Valley final back in 1999 or 2000? I think we were 15-13 going into that game, so we would have had a real low seed in the NCAA Tournament had we won it. But similar to this year, we would have made up for a really mediocre year with a talented team that got flustered after a very difficult non-conference schedule.

Maybe we get our revenge on Sunday? But right now I don't want to get too excited just yet until we play tomorrow and see how things turn out.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I remember that team as having a very good year. It was the year after Dye and Roberson were gone and Jerome Robinson was an absolute stud despite battling tendinitis in his shoulders. I'm pretty sure they were 2nd in the Valley.

It just said In. St. beat us in 2001 as a fifth sead (ISU) coincidentally lol. Yes, I'm definetely not getting to far ahead, just thinking for this game want I want in case we do win tomorrow. But I'm going just relax and enjoy watching this one not caring who wins.

Huddled around the olde radio on a Friday night.

whoop!

I'll be huddled around the TV all weekend. Great weekend of games for local teams! ND at Marquette, Wisconsin at Illinois, and of course I watch every game in the Valley tourny. And It is finally above freezing in Illinois, man I love this time of year!!

Lol well fortunately my friends are pretty big college basketball friends too, so I usually watch the games with people. Ya to be safe for sure Illinois has to beat Wisky all 3 times (already beat them once) they play them, and that will be tough to beat them twice in a row now. Especially in the Big Ten tourny considering Illinois is like 0-5 or 0-6 on neutral courts.

Hey, at least they're scoring more than 45, usually.

They play like my redeye gravy, thin and watery.

LOL! Bert - I consider your posts and responses to be some of the best.

I wish you and your O&B the best. And I mean that.

Now... for some other Illini fans I know (not in the Message Board World), I don't wish them and their O&B the best.

And I believe you know what I mean by that. ;)

I wish nothing but peace and prosperity for all men.

That sounds sexist.

I wish women good stuff too.

Yeah, I know I wasn't too far off. But we won't have to worry about them this year after all. Close game though.
