Illinois vs. Minnesota

Just a demented thought... I wonder what people would think if Illinois wins the Big 10 tournament and knocks ISU to the NIT?

Beni - you mighta missed it. I made some predictions last night.

Here they are again:

1) Illini win B10 Tourney
2) Knocks ISU out of At-Large bid
3) Illini gets a 12 seed in dance
4) Drake gets a 5
5) Illini beat Drake in the first round of the NCAA

It's all good Bert.

I am laughing my arse off...

Illini dancing in the NCAA is great. You guys deserve it. You deserve it so much. You guys have suffered so much over the past couple years. It is so sweet... sweet justice for the Illini.

Hahaha.

Me too...I can't stand BO..

what a weird finish today though. Brock should have been called for a travel. I do agree on the clock though..they took forever to start it at 15.3

If anything that Farber or whatever his name is should have been called for a foul on Brock. He nailed him right in the face.

Tomorrow will be a tall order, but it's not unattainable. Go Illini!

IlliBrave...

My eyes are already bleeding from the terrible offensive game expected between Wisky and the Illini.

I say the first one to 46 wins.

Prediction:

Illini 46
Wisky 42

You are right Mob, I missed your predictions from last night. --didnt mean to steal your thunder. -- I am not sure about number 5 though. I cringe just about every time the Illini shoot freethrows and that could be the difference against a team like Drake.

fwiw, I would love to see the Illini bounce ISU to the NIT.

Surprisingly, the Illini's FT shooting has been much better in the BTT, and has been part of the reason they've been able to win the last 3 days. I'm just praying that they don't come out tomorrow exhausted from having to play 4 games in 4 days.

Well I agree with that but once no foul called then it should have been a travel. You have to call one of the two...thee are not offsetting penalties

I don't think so, lefty...but I can see that it looks like traveling.
But...
if the guy comes down and establishes possession while upright, then falls to the floor it is traveling.
But if he is going for a rebound or loose ball and ends up on the floor, especially if he gets knocked to the floor through no fault of his own, then I have seen this allowed, and NOT called traveling 90% of the time, and it is the right call.
It is the same as if he dives onto the floor to fight for and grab a loose ball. It is not traveling

The way I remember the play Brock came down with both feet and then fell to the ground losing his pivot foot. The contact happened long before he hit the floor and a foul could have been called but wasn't so it seems like it should have been a travel...but I'm no ref..
