In Game Thread - BU at GWU- FINAL BU 67 GW 66

we've tried 3 or 4 forced passes between players' legs and another two long wild passes that both went bad - so hopefully as long as we shoot about 50% we can turn each of those lost possessions into something
 
how many time do we need to pass of someone's feet before we learn to make better passes?
..and Shayok simply doesn't need to force something to happen that badly this early in the 2nd half

...that was a good drive by DSE - gets the FTs
 
we've been outscored 15-5 already in 2nd half - terrible passes...cannot even get the ball inbounds without putting it in their hands!

I don't get the rushed possessions either. I'm not at all against shooting three's or taking some quick high percentage shots off a fast break. But there's no reason we need to run a fast paced offense if we don't yet have the discipline to do so. No reason not to slow things down a bit.

I agree DC. If I hear that even once tonight, win or lose, I'm not going to be very happy! Geno has had plenty of practice and game time to correct this trend. If the players aren't getting this, then it's because we are not very deep and he needs time to get his players in here. I do think though the players he does have need to slow things down instead of going for wild shots all the time since we don't have enough talent and depth to play like this.

They played good defense against Wisconsin and Northeastern. But other nights like tonight they aren't aggressive at all! That's gotta straighten itself out if we ever want to become competitive in the Valley and on the road especially.

Stamp that NCAA Tournament for the Wildcats right now! :D Other than against Baylor, Northwestern has looked great this year so far, and against some decent teams.

Agreed about our deficiences as well. Especially the passes as they have looked even worse than our defense.

Another 5-0 run for BU, down just 56-53 now.
