Indiana State recruit opts out

Clayton Vette who signed with Indiana State in November has been granted a release from his LOI. The 6-9 Vette was recently named Iowa's "Mr Basketball".....which is about equal to being the 40th best player in Illinois.

Both Iowa and Iowa State lost big men in the past few days, and both are said to be interested.

Bradley was very intersted in Clayton Vette, but I don't think they have any more scholarships now to pursue him.

Apparently, his release from Indiana State stipulates that he can't sign with another MVC school.

I know Drake was looking at him in the fall also.

It is being reported publically that Indiana State released him after he signed a release agreement that he would not transfer to another Valley school. I guess that's allowed by NCAA rules.

The problem for Clayton Vette is that the other schools that were interested in him have pretyy much all filled used up their scholarships or are close to doing so with other recruits. Will he be able to find another Div I school?

There is some video of Vette at dmregister.com

He looks pretty solid, good body for a high schooler. Looks like he can put the ball on the floor too. At 6'9" and 245lbs. he's pretty mobile. I think this guy is gonna be a solid player for somebody.

He looks Trevor Trimpeish in interview.
