I just checked the Indiana Rivals.com message board and there were 9607 people signed on. That is a record number of viewers, easily breaking their old record.

According to reports- just as predicted, Kelvin Sampson is suspended, but not fired. IU will try to work out a buyout over the next week or two.
Dan Dakich is named the interim coach.
The players were informed of this prior to the news being reported publically.
Several players are quoted as saying they may boycott tomorrow night's game at Northwestern. The player "revolt" is reportedly being lead by senior D.J. White.

It was inevitable. I hope the players come to their senses and realize that he's not coaching them this year no matter what. The seniors will regret throwing away a chance at a huge tourney run for the rest of their lives if they boycott. They are getting off fairly easily because there will be no program sanctions this year so they should be thankful and play it out.

Several sources are reporting that indeed 6 players have boycotted a practice that was scheduled this afternoon. D.J. White, Jemarcus Ellis, Armon Bassett, Jordan Crawford, DeAndre Thomas and Brandon McGee are not at practice. Dan Dakich is reprotedly running the practice, and Ray McCallum is not there.

Here is a link verifying this--

Another rumor, not verified--
Indiana is now planning a press conference at 6 pm to announce the buyout and dismissal of Kelvin Sampson, and that (as reported earlier) Dan Dakich will take over.

More as it happens :)
