Ordinarily this would be good for the other centers vying for playing time. But the Warriors have several other post players, including a couple they just recently signed. Combine that with Don Nelson's tendency to play much of the time without a true post player, and I doubt this makes much difference in POB's case.

The league will see him as either (a) not motivated enough to work (Nelson's past comments) or (b) not talented enough, and there are other bigs who can put up nominal #'s (the Dalibor Bagaric's of the world). That said, I think he has the talent to at least reach the type of play that guarantees a long journeyman career.
