It's almost Christmas so...

If you could ask for anything or anyone what would it be for our basketball program. In the spirit of the holidays let's keep it as nice as possible.

1) I would ask for a arena close to campus so the student body would have zero excuses not to head to a game.

2) A big body 5 that could score in the paint, rebound and take no prisoner approach (another Mike Williams) No disrespect to WE but our 5 needs to be able to go towards the basket and play with their backs to the rim then shoot fade aways. Also the ability to own the defensive paint would be sweet. Matt Salley tried as much as humanly possible but just did not have the skill, ZA owned the ball once it was in the air and POB was just bigger then most.
 
Agreed...#1 wish would be for a basketball arena (with no ice underneath!) ON or NEXT to our campus...hopefully someday:confused:

John Wilkins to enroll at BU, :mrgreen:

BU to play a 6 year home and home series with Arizona State, :D

Another player over 6'8" who is "athletic", a good defender, a good rebounder, and a good FT shooter 8)

Unfortunately, I will probably get a rock for Christmas...

#1 an actual basketball arena....not saying that the PCC is an awful place to watch a game, but an arena near campus would be great. (but guessing this has a chance of happening almost as much as my wish to date a supermodel!)

#2 a conference championship or 2 or 3.....
#3 another run in the NCAA tourney!
 
RE on campus stadium...Be careful what you ask for...Drake moved from downtown Des Moines stadium (10K+) to an on campus 'gym' that seats 5500...looks like BU's new on campus gym. Pull out bleachers....No parking, no restaurants, no access, and NO STUDENTS...The games I had a chance to attend in Des Moines on campus at Drake had less Drake students showing up than BU currently has in downtown Peoria....Offer BU students free food if they go to BU games and they will be there...:)

I guess this one will have to wait until next year;) .

All I want this year is an MVC regular season championship, Tourney title, and to get the auto NCAA Tourney bid playing somewhere West of the Mississippi. :) . Is that too much to ask? :lol:

My Christmas wishes would have to be:

1. Having our MVC record be about 13-5 or 14-4 would be really nice

2. Use the big men more and go to TB more often.

3. John Wilkins signs in the spring and is on campus for the fall semester.

4. Win the MVC championship- for sure

The only bad thing is if we moved to a campus facility is not having Adult beverages being served there, so I will have to say no on leaving Carver Arena

Duke in Carver
NCAA Elite 8
30pts from AW and TB - both are more than capable!
