Jason Kent

I suspect that had Jason stayed at Bradley that he would be getting more playing time. The grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence.

From what I heard - related to Kent…….. Bradley asked him to go to the portal

There's room for debate as to what happened, but consider this....

Jayson Kent got about 80% of his playing time and ALL of his starts last year as a direct result of the injuries that sidelined Ja'Shon Henry.
So his hopes of a lot of playing time in 2022-23 were likely hinged upon whether Ja'Shon would return for a 5th year.

On March 9, 2022 - Ja'Shon announced he would return to Bradley for 2022-23
On March 16, 2022 - Jayson Kent announces he is entering the transfer portal

I think the two events are directly related. Change my mind...

Kent got 1 second at the tail end of the 1st half.:-o:-o:-o

That was because Indiana State had only 5 personal fouls at that point, and Bradley had the final possession of the first half with only tiny amount of time left on the clock. Jayson was put in the game to foul intentionally to prevent Bradley from running a play to score. A foul would not have resulted in free throws, since Bradley wasn't in the bonus. The ball did not go to the player he was defending, so he did not foul nor was he involved in the play, and Bradley didn't score. But he was used to keep any of the Indiana State regulars from picking up an extra foul.

During the broadcast I think Snell said IndSt blew an 18 point lead earlier in the year against Drake and Kent had a dumb foul at the end to send Drake to the line and the win. Since then he has played very little.
