Jeremy Crouch- injury

I have had confirmation that Jeremy dislocated his left shoulder.

Fortunately there are 6 months until practices begin, but it sounds like an injury that will take some time to heal.

It will be evaluated by the team orthopedic specialist.

They had to bring an ambulance to the Fieldhouse yesterday because they were unable to pop it back in place. It shows that BU hoops is big time in this city, the injury brought the BU police, the ambulance, and a fire truck all rushing to the Rob...

It will interestng to see if JC can pull a D-Wade and return quickly, or if we're dealing with something that requires a longer rehab. Let's hope for the best -- JC deserves it with his hard work this past year or two 8)

This is a bummer, but if it was going to happen I guess this is the best time for it. Hope JC recovers quick and is able to prepare for next season ASAP.

Well, this is unfortunate, but shouldn't be something that bothers him long-term.

How exactly did this happen anyways?

Actually bb it CAN be quite serious. Lets hope it was a "simple" dislocation and didn't tear anything or even worse create nerve damage which would be awful.

The fact that BU trainers couldn't get it back in scares me. If its a simple dislocation rest, rehab and he should do fine.

If something is torn or he has nerve damage..... :-o :-o

Actually, medical science has shown that dislocation shouldn't always be put right back in by the trainer on the sideline. When the bone comes out, it can damage the blood vessels around it causing the bone to die later or other problems like small bone chips. X-rays first are more common now.

I'd leave that decision to the experts.

This is such a bad break for JC whose notorious hard work has molded him into not just a fine D-I player,
but a kid who led the nation in shooting, and is the top returning scorer in the entire Missouri Valley.
God speed, JC, and get well as fast as possible.

Incidentally, anyone else recall the plethora of talking heads on the other message board that railed on Jeremy for his first two years at BU saying he was not a D-I caliber player?
I recall several of them, and some are still over there posting similar drivel, and yet none has yet to realize the idiocy of their comments.
One of them in particular also blasted BU for screwing up the recruiting of Shang Ping and losing him to someone else.
Thank goodness they don't work in the recruiting field.

JC-- get well!
We will be pulling for you!
Just be encouraged, that the MVC POY this past year also tore up a shoulder the year before.
We hope you're well in a hurry.

Jeremy ....was not a D-I player...

Ridiculous, but I suspect it was the same guy who argued and even guaranteed
that Bill Cole was going to grow to over 7-ft tall before he finished high school,
apparently just because someone reported that a doctor told him that.

I hate to say it, but even after JC is cleared to play this injury may rear it's ugly head again during whatever season he plays in.

It just seems once you dislocate a shoulder, it is very prone to happening again, especially in the rigors of D-1 basketball.

My brother dislocated his shoulder while playing at Manual High School, then again at ICC, then twice more while playing at Eastern Illinois.

I just hope JC has a speedy recovery and wish him the best, as he has worked very hard over the last year to become the player he is now.
