Jeremy Crouch

BU FAMILY

New member
Heard this morning that Jeremy Crouch was named men's varsity basketball coach at Illini Bluffs High School at the board meeting last night. Congratulations JC!!!

Great JC -- now turn them into a power!!
note all the ex-BU guys going into coaching - Billy Wright, Eddie Mathews, JC, Tim Bankston, Donald Reese, Mark Dohner, Greg Berry, Steve Doty, JL, Willie Scott, Joe Stowell and his kids, Stan Albeck, and I am sure there are many more...

My kids go to grade school at IB, and I know the 8th grade team has done very well the last few years. Hopefully he can help them develop into a good high school team.

Jeremy's no stranger to IB as his wife teaches there and his Uncle, Joe Stoner, is high school principal. There's some talent there and it will be exciting to watch him coach.

BTW -- a few facts about Illini Bluffs--
they are a small school - high school enrollment 294 so they have played in the smallest class size up 'til now...but...the new alignment by IHSA appears to push Illini Bluffs into 2A in basketball...but fluctuating enrollments and cutoffs may have them back and forth between 1A & 2A.

BTW -- the principle at Illini Bluffs is a guy named Joe Stoner-

Joe Stoner was Jeremy's high school basketball coach while JC was at Pekin -- and as noterd, is JC's uncle.

Your principal is going to be mad at you. Don't you remember the saying the principal is your pal?

Congrats Jeremy great school to get your start. Good genes won't hurt either. Grandpa Marshall, Uncle Joe and Dad all were apart of his learning how the game is played. Look for good things JC. Good luck IB has been a good program as long as I can remember.

Uh oh -- Jeremy may be on strike even before he starts work --
IB teachers and the board are "at an impasse"...

bingo: one of the problems is the ex coach sho still teaches at IB is also head of the bargaining team and so far no one knows why he was let go from the head coaching position. He was informed before JC was avaialble so, I hope, that wasn't the reason he was let go. I am out of town but heard that WMBD had something about all of this on the 10pm news last night.
It is my understanding the teachers are standing up for the ex coach so not sure where all of this will end up but I feel sorry for JC as he is now in the middle of this (although I do know some people warned him ahead of time and tried to talk him out of taking this particular coaching job.

I know why he was let go and it had nothing to do with JC,bb or the union period.
