Jeremy Crouch

I have just gotten news from a reliable source that the Memphis Grizzlies are working out several players this coming week, they especially need shooters.
Of the players they have coming in to work out are Chris Douglas-Roberts (although there are some rumors he may back out), Vanderbilt's Shan Foster, Western Kentucky's Courtney Lee, and yes.......Bradley's Jeremy Crouch.
Memphis only has one pick early #5 and will get a top player or will trade that pick.
They also have one pick late in the 1st round (#28 ) but would love to sign some players who go undrafted to free agent contracts and summer league agreements.
There is also some talk of the Grizzlies working out Bill Walker, Sonny Weems, and even Darrell Arthur as they are still contemplating some trades.

Awesome! If Blake Ahearn can make an NBA roster, so can Jeremy Crouch. The JC that finished the season can play at any level.

I wholeheartedly agree with the first two statements, but it has to be the JC of the game before the one that finished the season......

If I'm Jeremy, I'm watching all the game tape of Kyle Korver I can.....

Here's part of an e-mail I just received:

my Memphis spy said:
great to hear from you. i called my man chris vernon, who is the number one sports host in memphis (am 730). u can listen to his show at 3:00 via internet. jeremy is working out at 10:30 this morning with several others. chris will be there. he is going to give me a personal assessment, which i will relay to you. i am sure he will be talking about it on his show today.

I'm not surprised. While JC's individual game increased by leaps and bounds this past season, his future is that of a role players/shooter type. I'd be willing to bet guys like Steve Kerr, Tim Legler, Kyle Korver, and even the great JJ Redick didn't have games that overwhelmed people when put in a one-on-one, individualistic setting. I have no doubts JC can hold his own with anyone shooting the basketball. That, coupled with his legitimate 6'5" frame, will get him looks and earn him a living playing basketball.

I also agree 110%. One thing that I have learned not to do is...UNDERESTIMATE JC!

From the radio show ...

"I felt bad for him ... small white guy and he's having to work out with clearly much more athletically gifted people ... maybe he can go play in Europe or something ... if he makes a career playing in the NBA then so will I."

Guess our boy JC did not light these fine folks up. But he'll be successful in whatever he does ... in other JC news, according to his basketball camp Web site, he's engaged ...

I would not count JC out! WE don't know if this radio show host knows anything. If he's like 9 out 10 of them, he probaby has never put on a jock and if someone gave him one he would probaby try to put it on his head, thinking it was ear muffs. Whats the writer saying BU is on the Div3 level and first team all MV is nothing in college basketball.
If JC is to be given a chance in the NBA, I think it will have to be in a team setting as JC feeds off his teammates and they feed off him. I'm not ready to cash him in yet, as it appears you are. As for you ever playing in the NBA, I like BIG BROWN's chances of winning the triple crown better!
