Jim Les a Politician?

Out of Balance, I'm yet to read in that article where JL said he wasn't looking at anymore players. Coaches are always looking. Don't feel alone on having posts deleted. I have seen a lot worse on this board than the ones I've had deleted.

OK, I agree. On the deleted post, the world is full of double standers. Thanks for cheering me up! Now I don't feel alone!

Hmmm...here are some stats that'll get some arguments going...
Jim Les is actually right in the middle of some very good company

Career head coaching record/winning pct.........

Jim Molinari - career .545
Jim Molinari's last 3 years .417, 4 years, 5 years .462, last 6 years .471
Jim Les -career .538
Jim Les' .......last 3 years .613, last 4 years .542, 5 years .536, last 6 years .538

Comparison....
Kelvin Sampson's first 6 years as a D-I Head coach: (83-92) .474
Mike Krzyzewski's first 6 years as a D-I Head coach: (90-72) .555
Dana Altman's first 6 years as a D-I Head coach: (90-86) .511
Bill Self's first 6 years as a D-I Head coach: (97-76) .561
Travis Ford's first 6 years as a D-I Head coach: (74-95) .438
Dr. Tom Davis' 4 years at Stanford: (58-59) .496
James Naismith (the inventor of the game)/first 6 years: (31-39) .443

T, I think you must be a trouble maker trying to suggest that JL might be as good as or even better then JM. We all know that couldn't possibly be true-at least according to the way some sound on this board. (Don't jump on me as I really liked JM and have already wished him the best of luck)
It does make for some interesting stats-are we going to have pay JL a 7 figure contract someday to keep him?

I need some help here! If no player leaves the team this yr. will this be the first year (for what ever reason) under JL that this will have happen? How about JM?

How about JM?

From Fred Atkins, Jermaine Brown, to Kevin Clancy, to Roger Suchy, to Rick Harris, to Mark Bailey, James Bailey, Scott Behrends, Matt Moran, Kwame Brown,
Ben Coupet, James Hamilton, Milo Kirsch, Matt Lee, Paul Lee, Mike Collins, Cameron Rigby, and at least a dozen more whose names are so obscure most will not remember....
Molinari, like every coach, had plenty of players who left with eligibility remaining.

Some how I knew the help would come from you! So would it be right to say, that a least 1 player leaves per yr. from the team (for what ever reason).
Thanks for your help. Those are some names from the past!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with you 100%. I wasn't nitpicking and my intent was mistaken by a few! I would direct you to my last quote to (won't name), where I explained what all my intent was but because I rebuttal in the same matter to the way my mantality was attacted, I got the axed but theirs remain posted. Trust me I am a JL fan and met NO harm in anyway to him and do fully understand his intentions.

No problem. Glad that you clarified your position.

And yes, I have had posts deleted in the past as well for similar reasons. That's their perrogative, and it is a good thing because it keeps the discussions from getting out of hand like on other boards.

But no ill intent was intended by me. :)

Carver Center

Carver Center

:( I was at Carver Center to watch my grandson play basketball.
He lives in Varna and plays for Midland Jr. High.
They have a nine week program at Carver that invites the following teams,
Germantown Hills, Pekin #1, Pekin#2, Bloomington, Elpaso, IVC, NTRA, Brimfield, Illini Bluffs, Midland, and 2 Carver teams.
These games are played on Tuesday & Wednesdays.
They have a problem down there with their lights,
About 4 lights are out (one above the free throw line east end) and several others are not very bright. It is dark in there.
What has Bradley done with the lights from the Field House?
Are there any Electrical Contractors that love basketball that could help rectify this situation?
I talked to a young man ,That seems to be in charge, and he told me that when he changes a light bulb, in two days its out.
Any Ideas??
Does anybody watch Opra's BIg Give??

Carver Center gets funding from the United Way and from a number of other sources.
I can't believe they let things get so out of repair there.
I know their director stepped down for health reasons a few months ago. Does anyone know who is in charge of running operations there now?
Problems like you describe shouldn't be happening there.
