Jim Molinari mentioned for assistant coaching jobs

Mo and Porter on the same staff....?
who'd have thunk it?

But seriously, going to St. Louis would have to be a prayer answered for Jim, as he would love to be closer to Central Illinois.

Jim is pretty familiar with the restaurants in "The Hill" area.
I know it was one of his favorite things about being in St. Louis.

Mmmm...love me some good ol' toasted ravioli.

It looks like Creighton will announce Dana Altman's new assistant soon. It's rumored to be Mike Maker, former assistant at West Virginia under John Beilein. He was an assistant at Samford and Dartmouth before WVU.

This could mean the Jim Molinari is still in the running for the assistant's job at St. Louis U. He was interested in that position because of it's proximity to Peoria.

An insider on a premium site at St. Louis now says that the frontrunner for the last remaining assistant spot at St. Louis University under new head caoch Rick Majerus is an ex-head coach who was fired because of connections to the Ohio State scandal and NCAA penalties.

He is Paul Biancardi, and here are a couple stories on him.

Here is an article from 2005 about why he was fired, even though he led wright State to 23-10 in just his 2nd year there.

Look for Majerus to nab Biancardi as he's one of the top recruiting gurus around. Never mind that he's been shown by the NCAA to cheat and then lie and cover it up whenever it benefits him in recruiting.

Jim Molinari's name is not being mentioned as a candidate by the insiders at St. Louis, but the spot is yet to be filled.
