John Wilkins to visit isu this weekend

I think if he had 3 1/2 you wouldnt see him play till January that really the only and best way to deal with it. Would also give him even more time to put some bulk on at whatever school he chooses.

But if you do that, unless they reverse the 5 game suspension with the new rule, he would be missing 15-17 (10-12 non con) games and he already hasn't played for a few years. I don't know if I'd go that route.

someone told me they don't observe half years....is that true? so 3.5 is 3

I was thinking that he could petition the NCAA to let him have the 4th year since he never played....that can't be what t is talking about though. So I don't know. The 1/2 semester also confuses me, because Legion did have 2 1/2 years remaining but he started the second half of a year so it makes sense. JW would end up ending on the 1st semester, so it would make no sense to have him play the first half of a year.

Also at GoBirds comment of having him sit out the first half of a year. I thought about that more and that couldn't be done anyway because his clock is already ticking so it wouldn't help to sit out the first half of the year.

Why are you all freaking out? He had a picture of a building named after his dad, big deal. That doesn't mean he is going to ISU. I had a picture of me and my friend at Minute Maid Park, but that doesn't mean I'm an Astros fan.

I would agree, no reason to freak out. It was a building with his name on it, of course he's going to take a picture next to it. I would do the same, I don't think it means anything though.

"Wilkins Hall was named after Daniel Wilkins, Principal of the Wilkins Female Academy in Bloomington. Daniel Wilkins helped establish Illinois State Normal University and free public schools in Illinois. He was a member of the Teachers College Board from 1857-60 and the first Superintendent of Schools in McLean County in 1860. Wilkins Hall opened in 1964."

I lived in Wilkins Hall my Freshman year at ISU. They had a plaque just in the doorway that gives a little bit more information, but this is all I could find on an ILSTU website.

As much as I'd like to see JW at ILSTU...this picture is not a sign at all. Anyone that would see a building, street, or anything else with their name on it would take a picture with it.

I agree with your post except for seeing JW at IL State. I believe that JW is around 2-3 weeks from making a decision.

I think he may decide next week at the earliest, but he better be worth all the hype he's causing at both schools. Although either fan base would get a kick out of him being a major flop at the other school.
