yet another new article on Johnathon Wilkins -- makes it sound like an offer from Purdue is close....have we offered yet or are we after him?? - don't want to be late if we want this guy....
One our really well connected posters who is most often accurate has said we are after Wilkins...

But he currently does not mention Bradley....maybe we're waiting 'til spring of 2014, tcq??? ;)
" ...there is no shortage of Division I schools monitoring the agile big man. He
He mentioned Creighton, New Mexico, Oregon, Purdue and Xavier among
schools that have made recent contact..."

yes - we do have an offer to the fine La Lumiere 6-6 scoring guard Sam Logwood
(ooops - didn't mean to make this a separate post - should have been on the above post...)

Jonathan Wilkins has received recent offers from Auburn, Marquette, Miami (Florida), and Villanova, in addition to Bradley.

BU recruit Jonathon Wilkins is a recruiting target of Villanova but I sure hope he reads this...their recruiting guys say this......

"Villanova Basketball: "2014 Recruiting Trail"

the search for the next successful big man has extended into the class of 2014.
The Wildcats ..look ahead to the future and bring in a big man in the class of 2014.
...the Wildcats have an offer out to one other center, Johnathon Wilkins (La Lumiere School, La Porte, Ind.).

Wilkins is not as talented as Towns is, but if he does commit to Villanova, he will not be expected to play until his sophomore season at the earliest."

If Wilkins has any smarts - he'll look at the track record of other big guys who were older and had extra prep school or juco seasons to develop....like Bawa Muniru, Beas Hamga, Moussa Gueye, Chier Ajou, Obij Aget, Tijan Jobe, Peter Jurkin, etc...
most of whom were highly rated - and hyped as can't miss top talent....
even guys like 5-STAR Hanner Perea - but all of them aimed way too high and either never played/barely played or were huge flops...
Go mid-major and have a fine career like Jackie Carmichael, Carl Hall, POB..etc..

Jonathan Wilkins is still a Bradley 2014 recruit, but there is a report that he is leaving his current school and transferring. He originally came to the US and enrolled at La Lumiere Prep School in La Porte, Indiana in the summer of 2011. But he never became a regular starter, and maybe that played a part in his decision. He has not announced where he is transferring to.

An article about Jon Wilkins, and he still mentions Bradley. It also says he is still at La Lumiere-

In Indiana - they held their Senior-Junior All-Star game Wednesday night,
and the seniors won 132-111...
reportedly Jonathon Wilkins was selected and eligible to play for the junior squad but did not play and was not on the roster
They played on Monday as well.
