Jordan Prosser

Can you imagine the inside out game that JP and JW can play if JP develops a 3? That would be sick! There would be NO way that a team could double up our guys inside without paying for it. If they do I can see TB slicing in the middle for the pass and slamming it home or DN hitting the wide open3 from the other side. SIC!!!!!
 
If you meant "if JP develops a 3", then I doubt that will happen. JP is playing exclusively the 5 position in high school, and played some 4 in AAU. I doubt we will ever see him play much 3 at Bradley, if at all.
On the other hand, Wilkins, who has guard-like ball handling abilities, will make an effective 3 at some point.

I think the most similar player right now in the MVC is UNI's Adam Koch (junior)...
Koch starts and makes an impact and has a considerable "upside".
Personally I think JP is further along than Koch was when he arrived as a freshman, and yet even then, as a freshman, Koch played 31 games and avg. 3 ppg., then Koch started every game as a soph and junior so far.

OK develop a 3 point shot is what I meant or at least a great mid-range shot
 
Ok, I see what you said. I thought you meant develop into a 3 position player.:oops:
I actually think JP will become a decent outside shooter.
 
Brody Deren of Creighton is also a good comparison in both size, strength, and game. Deren was 6'8" 250, was a force in the paint, and thrived in CU's perimeter-based system. Deren had Big 10 offers out of high school, and started at Northwestern before transferring to CU. I think Prosser's size and game is similar to Deren's, but I think JP's ceiling is significantly higher.
 
He will be able to contribute early.....with a nice mix of inside and otside game..he will be able to draw the big guys out away from the basket to open up the lane for our drives to the hoop....I see him as a real power forward..with an outside shot....

Is he as big as Harstad? I have been waiting a long time for BU to get that type of a big player that would fill up the 4 spot. Harstad could do about everything except bring the ball up the floor, and people just bounced off of him. Big, strong, athletic & could shoot and mostly played the 4 spot. I would like to see BU get a center that was as good as the one Harstad had playing with him during those years. Anyone remember him???
 
Chad Gallagher was the center's name. And I think he looked better than he might have really been. He benefitted from playing with Harstadt, who was the real star of that team.

Nice job as always. Those two really worked well together and benefited from each other. That team would have been really nice if they would have had some other good players. If we had a Harstadt/Gallagher type combination with our guards the MVC would be ours. I think Gallagher played HS ball in Rockford & Harstadt was from some small school in the Dakotas...
 
Chad Gallagher was from Rockford Boylan HS. He was drafted in 1991 in the 2nd round by Phoenix Suns, but never made it with them. I believe he did play a couple years in the CBA, then got a chance on a short contract with the Utah Jazz in February fo 1994. He appeared in just 2 games (2/5/94 for 1 minute & 2/6/94 for 2 minutes) for his career there. He is a co-holder for the best overall field goal percentage for a career. He was 3 of 3 for 100%. --

Bob Harstad was from Loveland, Colorado. He was the MVC Player of the Year in 1990. He was not drafted by the NBA, but I believe he played in the CBA and in Europe.
He was installed into the MVC Hall of Fame in March of 2008.--

Harstad ranks #2 and Gallagher #3 on the Creighton All-Time list (Rodney Buford is 6 points ahead of Harstad at #1), and they had their success under Coach Tony Barone, Dick Versace's former top assistant. Both were named to the Top 50 list of all time MVC players--
