Kyle Thomas is leaving BU

That's unfortunate, he flashed some real talent at times. Just for some reason things didn't work in Peoria.
 
It's OFFICIALL now....last seasons transfer portal was a complete bust....0-3!:oops::oops::oops::oops:
This cannot happen again if you expect to compete on a high level!:idea::idea::twisted:
 
This is the least surprising news of the day.

I do wish Wardle would have split time between Thomas and Jonovic this year. We saw plenty of Jonovic (good and bad) and but not much Thomas. He seemed to have potential.

We really need to do better in the portal for next season. Basically all the guys brought in last year were not impact players.

D C agree not a surprise but I hate to see him go. Thought he had some potential but we don't see him in practice. One thing about going 0 for 3 in last years portal, we can't do any worse this year unless we bring in more that 3. Like what I've read about the two HS recruits now just need to hit the jack pot in the portal this year and figure out why two left so soon????
 
It’s not surprising but it is strange that he is leaving unless he knows Hannah is staying and his PT will not increase. Come on guys……just maybe!!!

Possible, just hope we can find a lot of replacements that can contribute immediately. I also believe you no longer need to recruit freshman because if they end up being great players in two seasons they will transfer for more money. I would stick with JUCOS and transfers that have proven they can play against good college competition.
 
I think Thomas had some flashes offensively, but it seemed to me like he was often was out of place defensively. I think his ceiling is great, but there was a reason Linke was playing over him and it wasn’t offense of athleticism. It was all about doing the little things and being where you’re supposed to be on defense. Linke wasn’t flashy, but didn’t make any huge mistakes.

I do think Thomas could have had a similar career to the Darius Hannah if he really put in the work on the defensive end. I’m sad to see him go, and wish him nothing but the best going forward. He didn’t work out here, but that’s ok, not everyone is going to. It’s disappointing, but it happens. I wish him no ill will and hope he thrives wherever he ends up next.
 
I wish he had gotten more playing time. Probably why he's leaving. I thought he was far better than Jonovic. He didn't seem intense enough on defense, though, and that's not going to fly with Coach Wardle. No surprise he entered the portal, but I doubt he will move upward.
