Last ride for 2009....

if were up to you...how would you use the last scholie? I think we need a knock down shooter with the last ride....with two 6'8 bigs coming in next year already a 6'2 to 6'5 shooter is what I would want.....what would you use it on?

I'd say you're pretty accurate there DC

a 3-pt shooter that is quick and can defend would be a great acquisition...

I'd say someone who is 6'4" would be the best....

Then again, those types of players aren't easy to find and when they are, they usually end up at a BCS school.

Well said STL, that would be my preference as well.

IMO- it will be a sharpshooter.

Are you thinking maybe a little south of Illinois?

Would JL consider telling DS and DSE that the first one to commit wins?

Or is BU even after DSE?

Seems like DSE is buddies with JP. That alone seems like a factor worthy of consideration. Is he a "sharpshooter" though? Does seem like we could use one.

If Warren can return and return healthy the need for a Sharpshooter might not be as big a need as it is this season when we dont have one.

But I want to ask everyone, there is always this debate of local players are needed for the Bradley program, and others who dont care as long as the guy can play who cares where he is from.

If we had the choice between a "sharpshooter" or a local guy regardless of position who do you want?

I want the sharpshooter and have never cared about where a guy is from.

agree....
With what we already have for players, I say get the sharpshooter!

Always nice to have local players on the team, but it doesn't matter to me.

I also wouldn't mind holding that final scholarship until 2010 if we can't get any of the the players we really want.

The only other player to get would be if a true 5 either juco or a high school became available....I'm talking about a man-child...6'9 250lbs now....and an attitude...if you look at the way recruiting has been going...it will be harder to play small-ball with JW 6'9, JP 6'8, MK 6'8 and in two years SH 6'7.....WE 6'9 and AT 6'10 will still be here....one more horse would not hurt if AW ends up red-shirting!

We need a 6-4 or 6-5 freshman guard so that we have 3 freshman in next years class; remember that we now have 6 players in the 2008-09 class (McCain, Norris, Brown,Thompson,Egolf, and Wilkins) we do not want to have a re-building year after these players graduate so it is important to add another freshman to next seasons class.

I would think a sharpshooter from anywhere at around 6'5" would be perfect but on the other hand the way things seem to pan out I really want the best all around basketball player possible.

True. I two person class like we have with sophs, (now 1 because of Egolf redshirting) leaves gaps for jucos, which is ok if they are coming from Yuba, (or like Theron). I would like to have as many freshmen come in as possible in each class. As for the last scholarship? I want Darius Smith. However I think he is going to be playing in a big conference next year. It would be awesome to get him though.

Yep! I think we'll see a J. Crouch clone.

OK, a 6'4 /6'5 sharpshooter that can defend and looks like J. Crouch:!:
I love you guys and agree. Now let me start it off.
Dear God,
