line up change

Get over Jim Les already! He left us in shambles and it will take a few years to right this ship. I loved Les as a player and would have loved for him to get us where he said he would as a coach but he did not so I am moving on and you should also.

We have a better team this year than last year. TB is better than Warren and the rest of the team remains the same. Youre right, we are in shambles but its not because of Coach Les.

How can you tell people to get over Jim Les when this is only your first or second post here? People here have opinions about the guy both pro and con and should be allowed to post them here. I agree it's time to move on, but if anyone still would like to contribute to any discussions about him, they should be allowed to do so.

Btw, I don't think he left the program in "shambles". Injuries to two all-conference players will severly limit any team, and if Sammy and Remy were here this year with Les still coaching, this is a much better team. Maybe not great, but at least a .500 team which is NOT leaving a program in shambles. And note that I am not saying whether or not he should have been fired, I'm just saying things would have been a lot better this year even if people believe he has a lower "ceiling" than Geno.

Which losing streak are you referring to? ...

It happened just as I described --
Bradley hit a nosedive and between Dec. 30 and Jan. 18 the Braves lost 5 of 7...
here's a recap in the Hilltopics that mentions this lineup shake-up...
"...by mid-January, the season seemed to have lost its glow. On January 11,
after their third consecutive loss, Les announced that, with the exception of
Tony Bennett ‘06, all starting positions had to be earned in practice.

Les had the team’s attention. During the next game, the Braves pounded
Evansville, winning by 28 points, their most lopsided MVC win since 1999. The
team finished the season with five straight double-digit wins. They crushed 25
th-ranked Northern Iowa in front of over 8,000 fans at UNI’s Senior Night.
The 71-49 win gave the Braves their first triumph over a nationally ranked
team in 20 years."

Get over Jim Les already! He left us in shambles ...
You're entitled to believe as you wish - but tell at what point do the shambles we are in
start becoming someone else's responsibility??
I am going to predict that the housecleaning is not done yet...
