Look what can happen with 2 starters out

The Trees are a great shooting team and they are DEADLY from the 3. HUGE Props to them, I think they are the surprise team of the year and could probably finish 3rd in the Valley, but I am not going to compare Bradley to them or any other team, just not my forte.

They have more athletes on their team than they've had in a very long time. I was VERY impressed watching them play BU. They have a shot at being an NIT team this year.

I guess he's one of their leading scorers this season, but I was not impressed with Kelly at all last year. I wouldn't compare those two to losing SM/TB.

Perhaps not as valubale but they are 3-1 and just won a game by 30 thus proving it is possible for other players to step up and win games despite injuries to starters.

30 point wins take an effort from both teams, honestly.... 1 team has to do really well, and the other simply god awful.....Its not like thats going to be a typical result. Yes it CAN and yes it DID happen, but then again I guess theoretically we COULD still do it also....

Recruiting!!

Recruiting!!

They can get athletes to go to Terre Haute Ind. The only thing they have to brag about is Larry Bird!! What else? Now we are on par with Evansville great!!!

More importantly they are 3-1 against UNI, ISU, Evansville and BU. More than likely the Thursday night double-feature.

Nevertheless, Lansing has done a nice job, and knows the Valley as well as anyone.

Of course not. Kelly doesn't count Lakeview. We're the only team that has significant injuries.

Wasn't SIU missing their leading scorer and rebounder the other night?

Indiana St had similar injury problems to us last year, and went 17-15 and 9-9 in league play (same record as us last year). Does anyone think we'll come remotely close to that kind of record this year?

I'd like to personally invite everyone to JBucks Thursday Mar 3rd at 3pm for our pregame party before the 8-9 game we'll be in at 6pm!!! At least we'll be done by 2pm Friday and can hit soulard earlier! We may just be done Thursday too! LOL!!!

7/10 game may be more likely, depending on how our games with ISU Red go.

Oh no question we should be much better than this. Just saying other Valley teams' missing players shouldn't be used as a benchmark for our particular situation.

Sorry TAS, gotta go with Lakeview on this. SIU was missing their leading scorer and rebounder and still worked us over on our home court.

How sad is it when Ind.St. has a new coach come in, deal with missing 2 starters and win games, what is our excuse?

our excuse is bad teams find ways to lose every night. One night its their own players admission that we werent prepared, didnt come ready to play, etc. .. the next its the opponents subs have career nights(in st's Carter, SIUs no name, etc), then tonight our coach cant stop riding a bad MVC crew and gets T'd up at the worst possible time. It's always something. UNI will blow us out of their barn Sunday night and then its 0-5. Someone explain how we crawl out of that hole. In st isnt a good road team, so we MAY have a chance in that one, but where does our next win come from after that? Not Mo st, we'll lose another home game there. At evansville??Marty's lost 150 lbs- we cant expect to win there either. Our only hope is that TB is cleared in mid feb and returns to play before the valley tourney. we dont even need him in game shape. hed be better than 3/4 of our roster even after no physical activity for 3 months. I'm not exagerrating that either. As long as we avoid Wichita, we'd have a chance to get to Saturday, and I'd take that given all the garbage weve seen so far.

Of course I'm disappointed in the teams play like everyone else.. but missing two players.. and missing 2 players who are all valley or all valley honorable mentioned is not the same thing. And losing senior leadership at the guard position.. and losing a gunner like Kelly who is not a complete player at this stage of his career is not the same thing. It is clear InSt has more shooters on the bench.. so losing Kelly was an easier fix and props to them for having that depth.

"Of course not"???? Who said Kelly doesn't "count" to some or that we're the only team with significant injuries? I stated my opinion. That I was not impressed with Kelly last season and I would personally not compare Kelly/Lathon to SM/TB.

Just curious.....what happens if we beat InSU on our home court next week? Of course, there's probably no possible way they lose to the worst team in the conference.
