Looking ahead

Here is a video of Seastrunk and he took it to Montana a couple times.
I like how vocal he is in-game and he is a former 2,000 pt scorer in HS, like Quanny.

As mentioned in another thread, JaShon and Zek were late additions and they turned out pretty good.
Will JS turn out like those 2? Maybe not, but let's not think he WON'T be a factor for BU - he will be a Freshman but with a year in the system. I like his swagger and how he's bonded with teammates. Seems like he's happy with his choice to come to BU, which not only was driven by teammate Montana, but was also influenced by his father.
Seastrunk to me looked good in the red-whit scrimmage and I think he redshirted simply because of how many seniors we had on the team. He saw his playing time would not be enough to just waste a year. I expect big things out of him and hope he stays for at least the next 2 seasons.

with likely 8 new players next year plus two freshmen who have yet to play and two more who have barely played,
I suspect Bradley will be picked well beyond 5th in the preseason....
And yet, based on what we already see, almost every other MVC team is going to have to rebuild as well.
So, who will be chosen as the frontrunners next year? Will it be ISU even though this year they failed to live up to that billing?
For ISU, it will depend on whether they get the same kind of returning group as they did last year. That will be determined after the NIT.
But as we saw this year, having your key players all return can sometimes be a good thing, but sometimes it's not. They finished tied for 5th place in 2024-25, and that returning group managed to finish tied for 3rd this year. When a group of non-championship-caliber players return, it can sometimes result in a non-championship season again.

well, I actually had thought that UNI or ISU might be the team that gets picked to win the Valley next year, but
now UNI could be a big time rebuild depending on who stays. And ISU isn't done playing so we'll have to wiat to see
if any of their key guys leave..... Will UIC and Valpo get picked at the top?

I have always liked coach Jake.If you listen to some of his interviews he and coach Wardle are very similar as far as the recruits they try to get.I was looking at there message board and Brian Jones name was mentioned a few times.I hope he stays at Bradley, think he has helped us a lot.

Pre season picks are a real crapshoot now. Teams with a lot of returners will get picked high-but there will be a bunch of surprises (high and low) with teams with a lot of new players.

I get your point, but I don't think Bradley will be picked as low as 10, maybe no lower than 6 or 7, no matter who else is recruited. IMO, Wardle's earned a reputation for his coaching ability and is respected well enough by the other coaches and media.

Coach Wardle already looking ahead

Did I read on here at one time that Seastrunk was one of the top16 players in the state of Texas his Senior year

it's a good start with high character guys, focused on getting better every day. huge upside for DR and MZ.
would love to see us get any 1 of these 3 guys and then i'd feel very good about next year. (Eoin Dillon, Lathan Sommerville, Nazir Allen)

Yes, agreed. But I think the first 9 seconds of the shot clock are way less important than the last 21. Need scorers and big bodies. DR can bring the ball up. Finding a pg in the portal is easier than a high production 3, 4, and 5 imo

I agree mostly, but we have been blessed with great point guards who can score and create since 2017!! 2020-21 could be an exception with East and Nolan before East became a stud. Maybe this will be the 1st season we don't have that, but like u said we should be able to score in other ways.

Dillon announced he's staying at Belmont
Lathan Sommerville just announced he's staying at Washington
and Nazir Allen is still uncommitted....
I think BU still has an open spot - would love to see Allen commit to BU but there's been no mention of what he's considering....
