Malevy Leons is now playing with the Oklahoma City Blue of the NBA G-League.

Malevy has played in 3 games so far since joining the team, and he's off to a great start. He is averaging 15.0 ppg and 12.7 rpg (leads team).

Malevy missed a couple games, but is back starting now for the Oklahoma City Blue of the G-League. He had a good game last night - 17 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. Unfortunately, the Blue lost to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers 124-128 to drop to 7-2 on the season.

What does Malevy need to do to make the NBA roster! Man, what a beast!

Where did you see that? I'm not seeing any report that he's back with the Thunder.
The Thunder roster page doesn't show Malevy, and I am not seeing any recent roster news anywhere.

Malevy's previous NBA contract ended when he was waived by the Thunder a couple weeks ago, and he was under a G-League contract with the OKC Blue. With a standard G-League contract, I believe any team can sign him to their NBA team.
The Thunder would have to re-sign him to an NBA contract if they brought him back to the NBA team, but the NBA transaction page doesn't show any such signing.

but the real entertainment in this game is Rio Grande Valley Vipers' Reed Sheppard. The guy is on fire...
He is 17-33 and 8-19 from 3-pt with double-teams draped all over him.
He ended with 49 points but OKC won 130-125.

That was Reed Sheppard's first G-League game. Sheppard was a terrific shooter in college (at Kentucky). He shot 52.3% from three as a freshman (2023-24) in his only college season. He was the # 3 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets, who just sent him down to the Rio Grande Vipers yesterday because he wasn't getting enough playing time with the Rockets. - https://rocketswire.usatoday.com/st...eppard-to-nba-g-league-affiliate/77488103007/

Maybe with the ever-changing NCAA rules, we can get him back to BU for another season.
