I'll take a shooter. We have a lot of turnover in the backcourt coming.
If you want to get better, you need to get better players then you lose. I'd take Matt in a heart beat. He can shoot better then anyone we currently have. Coach Brown was brought up as as Asst, but even though I think he does an excellant job on the HS level. I think we need someone with College experience who is a known recruiter. Matt Yes Brown no. IF We are going to get a HS coach, lets find one from Chicago who can bring connections with him. It worked for ISU ( King O & Carmichael.)Roth would fill in for Warren after he graduates.
I'd take MR at BU in a heartbeat.
Here's a question??? Will he still have to redshirt if he comes to BU.... if he gets the medical redshirt since he is out with a injury.... I would take another shooter cause our shooters can be hot for 3 games and cool off for 5 games.... But i would take a BIG man right now
If this were true, I think he would have been smarter to transfer at semester. He'd then be eligible to play next Christmas.
Just thinking out loud here... If he left last semester, would that affect his redshirt status???
I it doesn't matter if he comes here or not to me. Another shooter is always a good thing in college basketball, and we will lose 3 guards after next season, which he would have to sit out anyway. That would bring an experienced guy who can shoot right into the picture the following year.
If he doesn't come here I don't mind either, we have enough talent the next couple years on this team. But I'm not insulted by him choosing another school and maybe wanting to come here now, I don't feel like a second option. He did what he thought was best for him like any kid, if he now feels being here is best for him, why not? I do believe a big man is the biggest priority. Just a guy who is big weight wise and good defensively and can get a couple put-backs, he doesn't have to be overly tall or great on offense.

Maybe it goes with the Coach Brown rumor too.
Rumors are saying he may leave Washington and join Les' staff at Bradley.
I'm in this camp but I would not want it at the expense of a true big or for JW. So with only 2 scholies for next year open he would have to pay his own way for one year while he sits. How realistic is that? I guess anything is possible.
he could ask for the same transfer waiver that Jake Kelly got to be closer to his family then not have to sit out...
Speaking of not using a scholarship, is there still no news for sure on what Tyler Les will do?

The NCAA Division I Legislative Council voted Thursday to prohibit schools from hiring anyone associated with a basketball recruit for a two-year period before or after the player enrolls at the school.
Council chairman Joe D’Antonio said there is “overwhelming support” at the annual NCAA convention for other proposals to clean up basketball recruiting, which may be voted on in April.
I've wondered this as well, and I kind of figured the Les family was waiting to make sure daddy would be coaching next year. I'm sure Tyler would hate to commit to BU, and then his dad get fired.
he could ask for the same transfer waiver that Jake Kelly got to be closer to his family then not have to sit out...but I will believe this rumor when I see it..
If a scholarship is not renewed does a player still sit out a year?
I stand corrected . You are right about Carmichael but didn't they bring O' high school coach 2 years ago when it was rumored he was bolting? Think so and they also have someone else on their roster that Parham coached in HS.Carmichael has absolutely no connections with Chicago. He is from Manhattan, Kansas. He went to prep school in Connecticut.
Eldridge signed his letter of intent to play for Porter Moser, which he did for his freshman year. Coach Parham was brought on staff by Coach Jankovich. Eldridge was already a member of ISU when this all happened.
I'm also not sure if Coach Brown could become an asst at Bradley due to that new rule about hiring. (due to be voted on in April)

Coach Brown is a good guy and a good coach. He would do a very good job as asst on any DI bench,IMO.
