Mccain

After watching bu for the 1st time this year. Mccain is for real. I can see why he had, triple doubles all during his hs career. He goes after all loose balls, and rebound way better than most big guys. he will end his career at bu with plenty of triple doubles later in his career.

Taylor Brown is the 2nd best steal BU has ever had after POB. he has a chance to play for pay. Too many skills, with unlimited engery to keep him off the floor, can play 4,3,2.

the other player are good but those 2 really stand out to me.

I cant see any way for JL to keep Mccain out of the starting lineup.

I second that for Norris at this point...

If he would've taken more of the wide open shots he was given instead of being unselfish (which is great) he probably could've scored 20....

I really love how McCain and Norris play off each other...

They play extremely well together and bring a toughness at the guard positions I don't believe we've seen all year collectively...

They were the 2 best guards on the floor...

The 2 best in the front court were Theron and Taylor...as usual...

I would like McCain to look at the basket on offense. He's very good at penetrating, but rarely looks to score. If you think he's good right now, just imagine if he actually looked at the basket. He'd make himself and everyone around him that much better.

Norris is going to be really good. He's a Will Franklin clone. As I said in an earlier post, he's already much better than TCS ever was or ever would be.

Taylor Brown is really talented, but has a case of the Will Egolf's. He's much more effective around the basket, yet seems to be stuck roaming the perimeter and chucking 20 footers. I don't know if it's by design or not, but he needs to be in the paint being long and being active. I'm tired of his 20 foot clangers.

Anthony Thompson needs 20+ minutes a game. The guy is real long and real athletic. I think he gets up and down the floor better than POB did, and I am not exaggerating. We need to make a more concerted effort to throw the ball inside, and AT needs to be the recipient of that. The only way he's really going to get better is with game action.

Taylor Brown was shooting 12.5% from 3 coming into the game. He was 0-3. Do we really need to see a whole season of this before we realize he belongs in the paint?

Our guys need to recognize hitting the mid-range is a really nice option and skill to have in your tool belt. SM tried to bank one in ala Dwayne Wade and it almost went in. I believe TB and DC should try to shoot 10 - 15' more often. DC's offensive skills are better suited for the 4 position. When he's around the basket he pivots and dances way to much. Have you guys ever seen Garnet and Duncan play away from the basket? DC should look at their tapes along with Kevin McHale tapes and watch how they use their size and shooting ability to score.

AT has a nice hook shot and with a bit more time and patience it should start going in.:)

McCain and Norris have a chance to be mentioned as one of the best backcourts in the country in two years. And imagine them as seniors together..................... :) :) :) :) :)

Nation? Let's calm down a bit there. I'll take an all-conference guard or two first. We haven't had a 1st teamer in a while.

McCain and Norris both have good looking shots as the rotation on the ball is just about perfect; T.Brown has a great nose for the ball which is why he rebounds so well, A.Thompson has very good post moves and needs to play more in order to improve, add Wilkens and this could be a very special group.

Yes, perhaps in a year or two. Not this year.

Seeing as from an NCAA standpoint, only three games really matter this season-- they could be turning special at about the right time. We'll see...

There's zero evidence that leads me to believe we can win 3 games in a row in St. Louis. I believe our record down there 3-6 over the last 6 years.
