The crowd looks like they are part of a Jim Jones promo.

That old geezer doing color on the video feed is something else.

The announcer "coach" on the radio feed sounds like "Shooter" from "Hoosiers".

What, is Bradley the Senior Citizen Capital of the World...
It's funny as hell listening to these guys when they don't think we're listening...

Announcing live from the Bradley Senior Citizens Home, it's Bradley Basketball...

- the color guy is unreal. babbling like some escaped elderly mental patient who forgot to put his dentures in. undecipherable

- the cutaways to the crowd. straight out of the 700 club. especially funny though, is the tool with the white bandana or mabye t-shirt tied around his forehead like some gansta vanilla ice. shouthsidefriar is that you? maybe friarsfan1?

OT...it's past this announcer's bed time

Those east coast boys live in almost a completely different culture than us central illinoisans. It's about as different as us going down to Georgia or something. So it makes it easy for them to make fun of us. Oh well, braveman was right, 90-78 is all that matters!

Did the Providence viewers get the video feed, with the radio feed for audio? It doesn't sound like they are talking about L Hall and J Dalfanso.

Everyone who watched online got Snell and Coach for their audio/video combination.

We love our announcers!

I'm sorry but those comments were hilarious. We all love coach Stowell and overlook his radio shortcomings because we know his analysis is generally right on the money. I've laughed all year at the comments he & DS make during the WMBD commercial breaks which aren't breaks at all on the online game feed. I loved listening to coach talk about the 1/2 acts this year when he clearly wasn't on-the-air on WMBD. The games where we had quick change & some guy with the village people puppets come to mind.

Coach's broadcasts are high art. I'm sorry for those Friar fans who don't get it...it's like expecting all poems to rhyme or all paintings to be literal.

Stowell is like the "ugly" kid only a mother can love. I can imagine how somone who doesn't know or understand this living BU legend might just not "get him".

He's ours and I'm glad he is....more often then not the broadcast is for teh home team that can't watch on TV or in person...NOT the visiting teams fans.

That is a PERFECT way to put it!!! I'll have to remember that one. I'm sure he's an acquired taste, but when you get right down to it, he has something insightful to say every single time it's his time to talk...

Those quotes make them sound like they'd even rip into Harey Carey. I'm surprised they didnt comment on the songs that play during the 'commercials'?

notice how they listened to the bradley announcers. if they think that of ours, what do they think of their own? Or is Providence so behind the times that they don't offer their fans radio for postseason play. either way it makes our friar friends look worse
