How can that be tornado?! :o How in the world can those under-acheiving Bradley Braves under Jim Les have the second most number of wins and the most post season wins?!:o

Oh, I know I know. We consistently play in those second rate post season tournaments against The Little Sisters for the Poor. By the way, don't the other Valley teams have the same opportunity to be invited? ;)

B4L, I don't consider Usain Bolt to be anything special, after all, I was not invited and never had the chance to prove who is better!

Ummmm no...not when they are getting invited to the NCAA and NIT tournament.

Say what you want about us who think it's completely pointless to point out post season wins..all you are doing is celebrating mediocrity. By all means go ahead, but stop attacking the people that happen to think its nothing to brag about getting in (and not winning) the CBI and whatever other tournament we were just in. It's sad that I'm a fan of Bradley went to those games and still don't remember the name of the tournament...was it CIT.com I really don't remember. Basically what you are saying is you'd rather win these "post season" games than get into the NCAA or NIT and not win a game. How is that even possible? How could anyone think like that? Congratulations to Bradley's success given the hands we've been dealt with injuries, etc., but we have been mediocre. Time to step up and deal with it and stop hiding behind stats..it's ridiculous and embarrassing. I would never go to an ISU fan and say hey we're better because we have more post season wins than you do in the past 2 years...they would call me an id*ot and laugh at me...and I would not blame them.

You might have a better argument if you went to an isu fan and said we're better because we beat you 56-52 without our best player. :D

I'm pretty sure they do. However, I'm sure they're above accepting the invitation to play in such mediocre tournaments. I know some fans of one school that don't think too highly of these tournaments. Those same fans are also proud of their basketball program not "pimping" themselves out to the "big boys" like Michigan State and accepting a 2-for-1 deal.

I would be happier if Bradley lost 1st round in the NCAA than racking up wins in any other tourney (NIT included). Yet understand, I am not saying I would be happier to see Bradley lose than win... I am just saying I'd rather see Bradley playing in the NCAA than anywhere else. Now... to T's point... facts ARE facts. Therefore, I am proud of Bradley's post-season win total no matter where they get them.

Unfortunately, the Valley hasn't had any postseason wins of significance in the last two years. The top teams need to have some good non-conference wins to get back on the basketball map.

I know moral victories don't count, but UNI played Purdue tough as a #12 seed last year - but you are right. I think the league will be up this year as a whole, so we should see some good performances.

Then those fans are just stupid! Teams like BU, unfortunately, have no choice but to "pimp" themselves out to play schools like MSU. I'd rather see BU do this with a "big boy" than play a "no name" school. Plus, look at the fan excitement level that playing an MSU brought to BU and PCC.

B4L---FYI. All teams are "invited". It's the ones with the cash to pay for games that get in the event. I don't think many fans understand how these tournaments work.

It's just great to know that BU has the fan base to support these types of events. That in itself says something very positive about the program.

No doubt. The program has had that for its existence. Nothing new under this regime. Bradley has always drawn very, very well--regardless of the coach. That says something about the loyal fan base.

Haha yes that would be a better argument. But for the love of God please do not mention the post season wins.

What I agree with for the post season tournaments the last two years:
1. It was great to have more home games
2. It gave seniors more time to play
3. It gave some more experience for our younger players
4. It gave us some VERY memorable moments..from seeing JC play absolutely out of his mind to the need-not-mention CR buzzer beating shot
5. It was a good choice to play these tournaments. I would not be happy if they turned them down.

What I do not agree with
1. That it gave us the right to brag about (a) post season wins (b) consecutive 21 win seasons

Yes I understand those wins "count", but lets keep it as it is. I really do get a little embarrassed when I see the "stat" that Bradley is up in the top 10 college basketball teams with the most post season wins within the last 4 years with the likes of Kansas, Memphis, etc. It's just plain and simple ridiculous and there's no way to sugarcoat it.

Again congrats to the braves and JL for what they have done given the circumstances because they have had some adversity that is for sure. Let's have a year of great success with no issues.

I understand your point and I don't personally brag about Bradley winning 21 games in a season when they played 38 games, but it remains a fact that Bradley has that many postseason wins. Where isu is concerned, when was the last time they won a couple NCAA Tournament games in the same season? In fact, I believe they're 1-2 in the NIT the last couple years. Maybe they're playing in the wrong tournament. I'm really not sure why some of their fans come off sounding as if their program is too good for the tournaments Bradley has played over that same period.

If you want to look at winning percentage from last year when isu was one of the last great, undefeated teams in the country......they finished at .706 for the season compared to .611 for Bradley. Maybe we should take a look at the way isu schedules? No thanks!

haha yeah...

hands down though 1-2 in the NIT is better than 7-3 in the CBI and CIT.com..by the way 7-3 is a guess

I get what you are saying about the NCAA games but if we are talking about 10 post season wins...it's a little shaddy if 7 of those come from competition that is not as good as the competition in the tourney that gave ISU 1-2. Facts are facts...we do have 10 wins...but facts are still facts when I say 7 of those aren't really worth the same amount. Why not just say 3 and mention who those 3 were against...that's good enough in my opinion.
