Weekend #3 of the MVC schedule will finally see Bradley play their first games-

The Bradley women play 2 games at home against Southern Illinois- Friday at 6:00 pm and Saturday at 4:00 pm. Both games are on ESPN+ and on WIRL radio, 1290 AM.

With the SIU-Indiana State games getting cancelled, there are now 2 games today (Sat. 1/9)-

Illinois State at Evansville is on ESPN3 - Evansville leads ISU 36-35 early in the 2nd half-

Missouri State is shooting 62.5%, and 50% on threes, and is outrebounding Evansville 23-14.
MVC's leading scorer Isaiah Mosley of Missouri State already has 20 points on 8-10 shooting, with about 16 minutes left in the game.
 
The ILSU-Evansville game stayed close for the first half, but then Evansville pulled ahead at the start of the 2nd half and controlled the game the rest of the way.
Final score- Evansville 57 Illinois State 48

Evansville improves to 6-5 overall, and 4-1 in the MVC. ILSU drops to 3-6 overall, and 0-3 in the MVC. They play again tomorrow at 1:00 pm.

ISU led 24-14 with 5:49 left in 1st half then Evansville went on a 12-3 run to close out the half down 27-26. In the last 9:00 of the game the Purple Aces scored 6 points while the Redbirds scored 5.

Missouri State is now 7-1 overall and 4-1 in the MVC. Valparaiso is 3-6 overall, and 0-1 in the MVC.

Missouri State shot 17-24 from the field, 71%, in the first half. For MSU Mosley led all scorers with 29 points while his teammate Gage Prim had 17 points and 16 rebounds. For Valpo Donovan Clay and Ben Krikke, who had 17 in the 1st half, each had 21 points. MSU had a 40-24 rebound advantage and was 13-15 in the 2nd half from the FT line. For the game they shot 29-53 overall with their starters being 27-51.

The Bradley women won again tonight, beating SIU for the second straight day.
Final score- Bradley 80 SIU 68

Lasha Petree was the leading scorer with 24 points. She scored 23 yesterday, and leads the MVC in scoring with an average of 21.5 ppg, more than 5½ ppg ahead of the 2nd highest scorer.

Illinois State at Evansville was close for the first 36+ minutes, and was tied 60-60 with about 4 minutes left in the game. But then ILSU got hot and made 7 straight shots while Evansville had a cold spell to open a 10 point lead. Evansville closed the margin a little with a couple three pointers in the last 30 seconds, but ISU won 73-68. ILSU shot 62.5% for the game, and set an MVC record with 63.6% shooting from three.
Evansville is now 6-6, 4-2, and ILSU is 4-6, 1-3.

Missouri State lead Valparaiso most of the way, and had a 16 point lead in the 2nd half.
