MVC News: Evansville's Porter kicked off team

Keishon Porter was a 6'5" redshirt senior transfer guard from North Carolina Central University, where he averaged 10.8 ppg last year and shot 37.3% from three. He started 10 games and was one of their first players off the bench in the other 6 he played in. He averaged 6.9 ppg and his 3-point percentage was an anemic 15%. Maybe he thought he should be playing more? Evansville won't miss him since it gives them more chance to play their freshmen guards, Moeller and Quinet, who looked pretty good. Porter played his freshman year in 2020-21, which should qualify him for another year of eligibility for the Covid year, so maybe he'll catch on somewhere else.

Yeah- we kinda thought he was a goner last week...as did some of their own fans

He left midgame in a 14-pt loss to UNI and there's never been any mention since of injury. There's some speculation
that he may not be with the team any more.
