MVC Standings

It's way too early for any level of confidence, but IMO the final standings in the MVC could look a lot like they are now after just 3 games.
The top five teams get a bye on Thursday in the MVC Tournament, and it is looking like those five will be the current 5 teams with winning MVC records and overall double-digit wins.
Then there are 2 or 3 teams who have been competitive in their games, but appear to be destined for the middle (InSU, Drake, and SIU).
And sadly, it is looking like the bottom teams will again be UIC, Evansville, and Valpo, the winless teams with the 3 worst overall records.
Unpredictables, like key injuries, could throw any prediction off. But does anyone think there's a team that could overachieve my predictions or one that could fall into a lower echelon?

Wow, I thought only the top 4, but clearly that changed with Missouri state leaving us with 11 teams! I suppose that's poetic justice since it does feel like there are 5 closely talented teams at the top, and if this does hold, they would all deserve a bye! In this sense BU may have lucked out if they finish 5th in conference play! Does anyone know the year BU won the MVC tourney as 5th seed, did they play 4 games or 3 in the tourney? It sure feels like are Statistical ratings would project us 5th this year. So will be an Underdog, but we know in 1 game anything can happen! I don't think there is a clear cut favorite this year, so hopefully any of the top 5 will have a chance to win!

Bradley won the MVC in 2019 as the 5th seed. They played 3 games. They got a bye for the Thursday night games, and won Friday (#4 Missouri State), Saturday (#1 Loyola), and Sunday (#6 Northern Iowa).
No team has ever won 4 games in the tournament.
