Stats this early are mostly meaningless, but here are a couple notable stats-
The MVC leading scorer is Jaquan Johnson, averaging 23.0 ppg. (scroll down to individual stats)
Bradley leads the MVC in home attendance- 5,814 for their one game (on page 6)
A.J. Smith is tied for the lead in steals- 3.5 steals per game

If the MVC is still doing the Player of the Week this year, it should be Jaquan Johnson.
 
There were a couple other players who had a very good week, so given past history, I would not be surprised if JaQuan gets robbed.
Drake's Jalen Quinn averaged 20 ppg in their two wins, as did Ahmad Henderson, Ian Scott (who avg 18.5ppg on 14-17 shooting & 8.5rpg),
Leon Bond (who averaged 17ppg and shot almost 60% from 3-pt range) and Xavier Hall who averaged 9 assists per game

Another nice story in the MVC...
The MVC Newcomer of the Week is Ian Scott of Indiana State. He is a 6'7" forward who played 4 years at Grace College, a small NAIA school in Winona Lake, Indiana. He accumulated 1,580 points over his 4 years, and helped lead Grace College to a 121-21 record over his 4 seasons. He was an NAIA 1st team All American his senior season. And thanks to the NCAA ruling regarding athletes from non-NCAA schools, he was given a 5th year of eligibility and signed as a grad-transfer with Indiana State last spring.
In high school at Plainfield, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis, he had a nice career, but did not get any interest from Division I or Division II schools.
In the first 3 games for Indiana State, he is averaging a team-leading 14.3 ppg and 10.0 rpg, and he's shooting 70.8% overall (17-24) and 50.0% from three (2-4). He also leads the Sycamores in blocks, and is second on the team in assists, steals, and minutes played.
He's not likely to continue to put up those kind of numbers, but it's not hard to root for a kid like this who comes from a small NAIA school and proves he can play at the D1 level.
 
5 games into the season and Jaquan Johnson leads the MVC in scoring and is a close 2nd in points per game.
He also leads the league in steals and steals per game.
