MVC Tournament semifinal game- Bradley vs Northern Iowa, Saturday, 5:00 pm. This is the second semifinal of the afternoon, with UIC vs Drake at 2:30 pm
Both games today are on CBS Sports Network (Xfinity cable channel 963). It is not on ESPN+.

Bradley won an incredible 90-84 double-overtime game Friday night against a stubborn Valparaiso team.-
Box score- https://mvc-sports.com/documents/2026/3/6//BRAD_VU.pdf?id=5359
Valparaiso had beaten Indiana State in a close, come-from-behind win less than 24 hours earlier by outscoring Indiana State 8-0 over the final 5 minutes of that game. Bradley might have had the advantage of being a slightly fresher team, but it's hard to know how much of a factor that was.

UNI is coming off the dominating 74-52 win in the late game Friday night (started at 9:30 pm, and ended after 11:30 pm) over a lifeless Illinois State team.
Box score- https://mvc-sports.com/documents/2026/3/6//ILS_UNI_Game_Book.pdf?id=5360
UNI held ISU to 52 points, 32.6% FG% (15-46) and 15.0% 3-point FG% (3-20).

Bradley is the highest seeded team remaining in the tournament. #2 seed Bradley is now 21-11. They were 13-7 in the MVC regular season.
#6 seed UNI is 21-12, and they were 11-9 in the MVC.
UNI opened as a 5.5 point favorite, and is currently listed as a 4.5 point favorite. Is anyone surprised by this?

Pregame festivities-
There will be a send-off celebration at the team hotel, the Embassy Suites, 610 N. 7th St (corner of Washington Ave and 7th St.) at approximately 3:15 pm in the 4th floor dining hall.
And there is a Bradley Pre-Game Party at Ballpark Village starting at 2:30 pm

I think line is based on fact that we had such a rough game last night. UNI has had 2 relatively easy games. Before tournament started UNI was 2nd betting favorite behind Belmont.

The formula for Bradley to win today is simple,
1 Defend
2 Rebound
3 Make shots
I expect this to be another very physical game and just hope the officials allow both teams to play and not be one sided in their calls.
I would not pay any attention to betting lines because nothing so far has been right in that matter,
I think if we can score 70 today we can win.

Agreed. Need to find our 3 pt shot, not play zone, and limit them to one shot. I'd also like to see our ball handling improve, seemed to be a lot of fumbled balls.

Tickets are hard to get this season apparently. Nothing on StubHub all day for under $92. Will likely buy at the window for $65 around 2 PM

I'm in the arena and with the Drake-UIC game 1/2 hour away, there are only around 100 people in the arena. There are 25-30 Drake fans and I don't see a single person who looks like a UIC fan. I'm sure a few more fans will be coming, but expect to see the smallest crowd you've seen in a while.

There are currently more Bradley fans here than anyone else.

If our last 2 meetings with UNI are an indication of tonight....we have to shoot a lot more free throws than them to win. And can't turn the ball over. They are an excellent defensive team

The key to this game is how do we handle their ball pressure on offense. Hasn’t mattered who Ben Jacobson has had play for him but almost all of them are solid fundamental defenders. In the two games we’ve played against them this season we were a combined 39-90 overall, 16-47 from 3. We won the first game because we had just 5 turnovers and outrebounded them by 5. In the game in Cedar Falls we had 16 turnovers and got outrebounded by 7. Have to get up more shots as you won’t be winning many games when you take just 42 shots. This will be both a physical and a mental grind tonight. Whichever team can bring both will be your winner.

Right now with the season on the line ...Richardson not ready easy turnovers and playing way too fast plus defensive liability....put Burch in stop the fire drill on offense before it's too late!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Umm can UNI miss anything tonight? I mean 70% is crazy with some really tough shot selection. This would be a tie game if they shot a normally high percentage. 70% is ridiculous.

I have no idea why Burch is in tonight. His awareness on the court is lacking and he doesn’t seem to have any confidence. Why tonight to give him minutes?

He is in because they have taken bully out of game and we need someone to create offense. Why do you think he has lost confidence. He hasn't played in some time.
