Averaging a little bit over 16 PPG

I'm not going to judge these guys because I have not seen one game of theirs at this point! If you have seen them up close please chime in, otherwise your opinion is also a crap shot IMO.

Da_Coach thanks for these updates!:D

Nate Wells and the Davenport West Falcons won again Saturday. They won a nonconference game at Fort Madison 68-57 to improve their record to 14-2.

Last night's results-

Louisville Eastern beat Fern Creek 72-59. Remy Abell had 16 points.

Davenport West beat Clinton 54-24 to move to 15-2 overall and 11-1. Nate Wells had 12 points. They have pulled out to a 2-game lead in their conference with 4 games remaining.

Davenport West wins 11th straight game

Davenport West wins 11th straight game

A good article about Wednesday's Davenport West's 79 - 55 victory over Davenport North. This marks the 11th straight win for the Falcons. They still retain the top position in their conference by a two game lead. Nate Wells had 21 pts. He was 9/10 for FG and 3/4 for FT.

Nate's continued improvement was a key point of the article.

Way to go Nate. Great game! It's nice to have Nate signed to a LOI. With the tremendous improvement he's shown this season, I suspect a couple BCS schools would be calling him by now.

Nate Wells and Davenport West won again tonight (Fri. 2/11) beating Dvenport Assumption 68-59. West is now 17-2, and 13-1 in conference.

Nate Wells and Davenport West were down 41-20 at halftime. After coming out to start the third quarter, they took the lead after a 25-2 run, and outscored their opponents 48-18 in the second half. Congratulations to Nate and the West team, as this win also clinches the MAC for them with a 13-1 conference record. Impressive considering they've been in the basement for a long time, and could only muster up 3 wins in the last 2 seasons combined

Remy Abell 31 pts, Lionel Gaines (IUPUI recruit) 25 pts & 13 rebounds, Kameron Woods (Butler recruit) 2 pts...

I'm thinking Butler might be wondering if they made a mistake...

BTW -- in one blog about this game....

this game was held in a gym that could hold 1200 -- and the girls varsity game started at 6PM with the boys game at 8PM.
The gym was completely "sold out": more than a full day in advance of the game and was fully packed before 6PM with people coming then - not to watch the girls game (sorry feminists) but with people who knew if they didn't get there 2 and a half hours before the boys game, that they'd never get a seat!

The Ballard AD tried in vain to find another bigger gym but couldn't do it in time so they went with their own gym which was packed to the gills all night long and loud.

Gaines is a monster rebounder and Remy can score every way possible -- mid range shots, 3-pointers, driving, and at the FT line..

Eastern goes to 24-2 and Ballard drops to 24-3.

Here's Remy playing great defense and Gaines dunking over a Ballard opponent in front of the packed house...

BTW -- that same Louisville site has this story on the 25th anniversary of Louisville's National Championship run in 1986...
they interview Pervis Ellison....that's the year Bradley came closest of any team in the NCAA field to beating Louisville -- playing them even for 35 minutes...

I cant wait to see Remy in a BU uniform. This is a kid that could play at a high major and came to Bradley so he could play right away. It will be interesting to see how playing time goes next year. I guess we first need to know who will be around next year, lets hope TB and SM are. I wonder how much the time off will hurt TB if he does get to come back?
