NBA combine

The players in the NBA combine who are eligible for the draft go through a lot of measurements. Here are the numbers for this year's players. The database is sortable by clicking on the categories across the top--
http://www.draftexpress.com/measurements.php?year=2007

The bench press category is the number of times the player was able to bench press 185 pounds. Note that only 1 player was NOT able to bench press 185 pounds a single time--> Kevin Durant! Greg Oden passed on the bench press because of his recent wrist injury and surgery.

Note that the poorest standing-verticle leap was point guard prospect Jared Jordan with a pathetic 14.5". The next poorest leap was 23".
Aaron Gray was the tallest player at 7'0" without shoes. Greg Oden measured 6'11". Gray also was the highest body fat at 15%! Aaron Brooks had just 2.7% body fat.
Creighton's Anthony Tolliver (who was listed as 6'9" on Creighton's web site and measured only 6'7" at the combine) bench pressed the 185 pound weight 21 times!
Only 1 player was able to do more

The truth is now known!!! Very interesting info Coach.

Jamaal Tatum is only 5-11.5" !
This is a little bit less than the 6-2 that Tatum has been billed at.

One of our posters, Biff, seemed to know this.

The fact that Tatum didn't play point guard at SIU will hurt his chances. There just aren't many 6-2 shooting guards that make it in the NBA. Is he really 6-2? Here is his link from when he came out of high school, and he's listed as 5-10
I think he is under 6 ft.

And there isn't much demand for power forward/centers who are just 6-7 - 6-8, either. So Tolliver faces some long odds.

and Julian Wright is only 6-6.5", way smaller than the 6-9 that everyone seems to have him at.
Also, Wright was worse in the bench press than just about everyone.
